12/7/2017 18:39 | Good points x54v, I'm still of the opinion that the rise won't last though. I could buy plenty at lunch time so I think a big seller is around. I have a limit buy if we get a drop again. I have a price which I think they are worth to me but good luck to all if I don't get it. | melton john
12/7/2017 16:02 | Thanks hazl.Having sold at 668.4, I just thought it would be too greedy to expect re-entry at 525! | rafieh
12/7/2017 15:59 | Do whatever you feel comfortable with is my motto .welcome r | hazl
12/7/2017 15:48 | Ok folks, you persuaded me. I am in with a small stake. | rafieh
12/7/2017 15:41 | It's a fairly volatile share and after a sharp rise the MMs will be short and need to cover so they drop the price rapidly to shake people out so they can pick up stock to balance their book. There's no exact science to knowing exactly when a drop has finished, but if you're picking up stock on a pullback and you're confident that the uptrend is likely to continue, then you're doing better than chasing to buy when the price is strongly up. | x54v
12/7/2017 15:34 | True, but for this particular share, I have seen the previous falls closely. They are so sudden and significant they make you doubt all you knew about the health of the company. To the point you start thinking about reducing rather than adding! This retraction hasn't seemed like that yet. Maybe I am just using emotional memory / reflection to guide my entry point. | rafieh
12/7/2017 15:32 | Yes I have found that here and in PRSM x54v. Difficult to read the trades. | hazl
12/7/2017 15:29 | Turning points don't necessarily need to have large volume. The MMs are in control here so they will move price to a level where they think it will generate trade. Another point of course is that you can't just rely on the printed volume you see. There could well be large trades in the background whose prints are delayed until much later. You often only see what drove price after the fact. | x54v
12/7/2017 15:23 | Not sure if this it yet. Volume remains anaemic. | rafieh
12/7/2017 15:22 | All that's needed now is another decent contract RNS and the price will be back at highs again in a jiffy and ready to move onwards and upwards. | x54v
12/7/2017 15:11 | Ah! Popped out with the dog.........nice to come back to. Knew it wouldn't be long. | hazl
12/7/2017 14:49 | Price starting to pick up again. | x54v
12/7/2017 09:46 | In my experience, a couple of contracts often lead to more that's why I didn't want to wait too long. But it's people's personal choice when they take the plunge....if at all of course. | hazl
12/7/2017 09:43 | Well we certainly have some takers today anyway .8-) | hazl
12/7/2017 09:39 | I don't think the world at large reads Advfn hazl. I certainly don't think I have the power to "talk the price down". I'm just joining in on the previous discussion and being open about my thoughts. I'd rather the price didn't drop after I buy so trusting my own instincts. Might be wrong but I'll get another chance. | melton john
12/7/2017 09:37 | thanks Gary | hazl
12/7/2017 09:30 | 11 JULY 2017 WANdisco announces the release of WANdisco Fusion® for Backup SAN RAMON, CALIFORNIA - WANdisco (LSE: WAND), the world leader in Active Data Replication™, is pleased to announce several strategic customers have begun beta testing WANdisco Fusion’s new Backup functionality as part of their existing contract with WANdisco. WANdisco Fusion for Backup features improved functionality for customers including: No backup-dedicated storage: WANdisco Fusion for Backup, unlike other solutions, does not require dedicated hardware leading to greater cost savings and ROI No scheduled backup period: Changes to data are recorded wherever they occur with automatic recovery in case of an outage from any point in time Opt-in backup: An administrator can select subsets of content for backup to minimize costs Low overhead: Adding backup capabilities to a specific location imposes no additional overhead on regular Fusion operations for the source system Cross-target backups: Users can back up content to other Fusion supported environments, including from on-premises to cloud object storage such as Amazon S3 or Glacier No administrator overhead: No additional time for maintenance is required once backup functionality has been enabled Co-existence: Fusion Backup works with regular Fusion continuous active-active replication Other leading market solutions for backup need: Dedicated hardware for backup: Other solutions need dedicated resources for backup with no option of running analytics on data on these clusters Scheduled backups: Other solutions require scheduled backups which either take a manual copy of the file system using DistCp or HDFS snapshots. Neither solution matches the functionality of active-active replication which enables continuous backup. David Richards, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of WANdisco, commented: “The rapid growth of mission-critical applications means companies cannot afford the risk of downtime and data loss. WANdisco Fusion continues to be the only solution available which can guarantee zero RTO in the event of an outage across multiple locations using our patented active data replication technology.” | garymegson
12/7/2017 09:27 | The rise says it,for me, direction is up imo | hazl
12/7/2017 09:11 | I think it could pull back a little but have 42,065 so if so all good as it will bounce. I bought another 665 this morning and am looking to get another 4,500 or so depending on the price next week. | tickboo
12/7/2017 09:01 | Agree with some of that, if you have a great confidence in a particular share then a few pennies here and there don't make a great deal of difference in the future eventual outcome. However, you wouldn't be here, trying to talk it down further if you weren't interested at this point is my guess. 8-) | hazl
12/7/2017 08:47 | In the long run it won't make much difference if I pay 5.80 or5.20. Just feel it has further to fall judging by the quantity for sale. Good to have a grown up discussion, unusual for Advfn. No need to be disagreeable just because we disagree. | melton john
12/7/2017 08:28 | Added some more this morning. Thought around 540pish we would see a rebound but don't want to risk it considering this has dropped for over a week straight. | ileeman
12/7/2017 08:19 | I reckon you guys hope so! I noticed a few takers yesterday and it looks quiet so far today.... lull before the storm perhaps? I think it won't be long before people will be rushing in. My thoughts entirely of course. | hazl
12/7/2017 08:05 | Melton, I agree it will drop although I doubt by 20%, possibly 10% I'd say but that's an uneducated guess (from a technical education perspective!). | tickboo |
