What’s the short interest on Wand currently. How would I track that ?

That said I'm tempted to buy more but I think it'll drift for the next few weeks unless positive RNSs are published.JP Morgan has a 0.8% short on wand which increased on 10 March. Think I'll wait until mid April before getting more.

The issue is there were meant to be multiple material deals that slipped from 2019 into this year and only one has been announced for $1m. They didn't reaffirm the forecast like they usually do and the public preview will be in a few weeks so missed the Q1 target. I'm still holding but am not so sure the update was as good as some think.

Not sure I agree. Just 1 deal or $1m when they spoke of several large deals to be closed early 2020. Oh well wait and see.

Decent surprise today - I’m not going to talk about the share price given I sank it last time! But the cloud ain’t going away because of Covid 19!

The Pentagon has asked a federal court for 120 days to 'reconsider certain aspects' of the decision to award Microsoft the $10 billion (£7.9bn) federal cloud computing contract. The ruling, in a court order published on Thursday, noted that Amazon Web Services (AWS), who last month won a temporary injunction against the award, would 'likely be able to show that the Department of Defense (DoD) erred' in its evaluation. Both parties would not be able to re-evaluate their proposals in terms of adding new offerings, aside from one particular price scenario, the order added.Microsoft had been announced as the winner of the JEDI (Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure) contract in October, to the surprise of many in the industry. Of particular interest to pundits was the explanation, in the DoD's news release, that the award 'continued [its] strategy of a multi-vendor, multi-cloud environment... as the department's needs are diverse and cannot be met by any single supplier'.AWS has been running the CIA's cloud operations for the past five years, with multiple reports last month saying the agency was looking to upgrade its offering in a 'tens of billions' deal. A month later, it was reported that AWS had filed with the US Court of Federal Claims to protest the decision, with chief executive Andy Jassy telling employees at an all-hands meeting that potential presidential interference made the contract process 'very difficult' for government agencies.Jassy also reportedly said during the meeting that AWS was 'about 24 months ahead of Microsoft' when it came to functionality and maturity. Per the terms of the injunction last month, Amazon is betting $42 million to cover costs should the final ruling fall to Microsoft.Cloud pundit Bill Mew, however, said the update shows how the story has moved away from technology to one purely around procurement. "JEDI has gone from being about the comparative merits of a single cloud or multi-cloud approach to being a case study in procurement dysfunction," Mew told CloudTech. "The lobbying, dirty tricks and arguments about political bias have completely eclipsed any technology arguments. This in itself shows how badly JEDI has gone off the rails."Mew, whose career has not only spanned 15 years at IBM but a stint as an officer in the Royal Navy, analysed the DoD function alongside the UK government's upcoming review of foreign policy, defence, security and international development. "Compared to JEDI, even UK defence procurement looks good," he added.CloudTech has reached out to Amazon and Microsoft for comment and will update this story as and when it arrives. You can take a look at the court order, as published by the Washington Post, here. (Disclosure: Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, is also owner of the Washington Post).

I think the price action has been spectacularly impressive. Given all the noise about. But no debt no leverage cash in bank and a loyal bunch who don’t mind being tapped up at a premium to the market price when more cash needed makes this a very special port in the storm.

think the price has been really well given the shocking FY19. I agree thigh that the Azure deal is a game changer and we are expected to hear that the public preview phase is reached Q1. There were also material deals that had increased in scope from end of last year and should close early 2020. I suspect they will have 2 RNSs in the next 2 week and maybe on the same day with audited results and some Azure and deal update. Let's see.

strangely quiet on the price front, but are we missing something?

virus et al will only ensure companies look at the ways they operate, will ensure the further move to online.

Forgetting huge numbers self quarantined, surfing the web, streaming constantly..... the move to the cloud is ensured.

I seem to remember Wand works with all the biggest providers and is embedded in Microsoft's offering.....I suspect that, when there is an update, we will be pleasantly surprised at just how far product reach and income has come in the last 6 months or so.

Appreciate the markets are in sell off mode and that the company has done nothing but disappoint on the revenue front for years, but I am pretty excited by the set up for 2020 and beyond and looking forward to some decent news and price action

I keep banging on about news but we are due some in the coming weeks given what was stated in the last RNS and hopefully that will mean we're back at the races.

Encouraging daily candle in a weak market. £5 looks like strong support, If we can establish above current £5.60 - £6.10 resistance it's back to the races IMO.

Maybe the MMs wanted to hit some stops and take some shares before the next leg up. That said the rise over the last couple of weeks has been overdone but glad we didn't fall much further.

I sold most at a small loss so have bought back in from £3.60 or so to £5 over the last couple of months or so. Back to 5 figures but a lot less than my peak number. Good to see some selling and pullback today as I believe it was well over bought.

Tickaboo I seem to remember last year you had a lot of stock did you sell at a loss? I just kept averaging down and fortunately it seems to have gone in the right direction. I think in the long run this will be worth quite a bit and a take over will be inevitable at some point.

The MMs know this cost me a fair whisk of cash last year and know I'm back in (albeit fewer shares) so have taken pity. It's gone up massively from the drop after the trading update, nearly 50%. I guess it's the TR1 RNSs and the fact the Azure product will be launched in imminently and is highlighting clients of theirs to use fusion and delayed material contract wins should be closed shortly. It's overbought though but hopefully good news can push this higher still.

Given what IBM shelled out for Red Hat I'd be surprised if they tried to buy wand but stranger things have happened and the Red acquisition demonstrated their keenness to get a stronger foothold in the cloud market. I thought Azure might've put a cheeky bid in when we were down in the 3s.The JEDI work has been delayed but Once it finally starts whether it be AWS or Azure I'm sure wand will be getting a large pay cheque and several of them.
