12/8/2020 17:24 | I just think there were a few large chunky sells possibly the same source keeping the price down.Sicknote | s34icknote
12/8/2020 12:47 | s34icknote: What does "seller is clearing" mean - sorry I've not heard that term. Why would a sell make the price rise? | netcurtains

11/8/2020 15:19 | Hi essentialInvestor: I have views on director buys. I've done some analysis on this area. There is no long term affect on share price by director buys or sells. Its possible that there is an affect for a couple of hours but its very rare. McColls had loads of director buys and all that has happened is price collapsed further. Hope that helps. I'm currently in PSON, ITV and BT all gone up loads over past few days - not a director buy between them in the time frame I'm talking about. What counts here is: 1. GREAT NAV 2. Great intangible assets too (some brilliant brand names) 3. DIY boom amongst middle class work from homers 4. Shops opening and footfall gradually improving 5. WGBs investment in digital 6. Encouraging recovery signs All good news Once FTSE 100 boom dies down a bit the second liners will pick up. We're all in FTSE at present. Give it a few days.. | netcurtains
11/8/2020 13:05 | Not impressed by how few the CEO or new management team appear to hold atm. Any views on that?. | essentialinvestor
11/8/2020 13:05 | My Mum worked in Peter Jones way back in the day!. The money around that area is just phenomenal with Belgravia around the corner. It's a different world. | essentialinvestor
11/8/2020 12:56 | Naw - think of the NAV and the assets. I've just been to Slone Square John Lewis (peter jones) - 90% of all their wallpaper is WGB | netcurtains
11/8/2020 10:17 | The good thing about being in a "fashion" stock is that there is always something new coming out - there is a constant news flow...... | netcurtains

11/8/2020 10:07 | The UPDATE: Perhaps when the big players mull over the update they will buy in the afternoon. the board certainly seem very happy with the recovery so far - you can read the emotions in the writing style. If I was a "betting man" I think the underlying recovery is pretty good! I bought more this morning (only a tiny amount as I am fully loaded) ... CEO: " "I am excited by some of the initiatives that we've implemented in the first half, including the launch on 23 July 2020 of a Harlequin children's collection using, for the first time, a digital design book in place of a physical pattern book, with great initial feedback from our trade partners. This digital acceleration will help our customers with more rapid response, optimised inventory replenishment and the greater agility that immediate sampling data affords us whilst also progressing the Company's strategic development." " | netcurtains
11/8/2020 09:47 | O/T s34icknote: I've been doing really well with "Education" stocks first WEY but look at PSON (Pearson FTSE) - its been going up loads over past week.... Think "BACK TO SCHOOL".. and "EXAMS".... I've also been day trading ITV over past two days - also been going well (think BRITBOX - unknown value) | netcurtains
11/8/2020 09:01 | I bought some more... Looks good value to me. NAV is great. Its also on the way to being a NET NET stock too ... And it still makes money.... Got famous brands And update says recovering well.. And we know that there is a DIY boom amongst middle class work from home people. Cheers Net... | netcurtains
11/8/2020 08:47 | As a gnat, my big worry is a second lockdown. I keep getting good returns on my recovery stocks and banking the profit - more from luck than judgement and was 100% in cash pre COVID because of Brexit. Again just luck. I will be back at WGB if it falls but good luck to all that have held. | goliard
11/8/2020 08:23 | Just need to write this year off and tuck away for this time next year Sicknote | s34icknote
11/8/2020 07:50 | Nearly all the "super" growth stocks are due to digital so this bit of news is quite exciting: I am excited by some of the initiatives that we've implemented in the first half, including the launch on 23 July 2020 of a Harlequin children's collection using, for the first time, a digital design book in place of a physical pattern book, with great initial feedback from our trade partners. This digital acceleration will help our customers with more rapid response, optimised inventory replenishment and the greater agility that immediate sampling data affords us whilst also progressing the Company's strategic development." | netcurtains
11/8/2020 07:48 | Gnats can undo mistakes. this is making 10p eps in 2021 or 2022 imo and the recovery is real so it may trade on 13X eps. thats over 150% return | studentinvestor13
11/8/2020 07:28 | I must be that gnat! | goliard
11/8/2020 07:27 | Looks like I sold too early... again! | goliard
11/8/2020 07:16 | Liquidity continues to improve and trading getting better. Cheap as a fish and chip shop chip sandwich unless you have the patience of a gnat. | studentinvestor13
