26/5/2008 14:08 | Orders were up 30% and strengthening at the interims. As well as the improved technical capability from the merger with Oxford, it seems that the rising cost of fuel and the recession may be helping sales. Out of the top 10 manufacturers, it seems PSA have the lowest overall emissions and Renault are 3rd. With French manufacturers being about half of Wagon's business, their more efficient range of cars may be not suffering so much as gas guzzlers get hit. | aleman
25/5/2008 21:59 | Hectop from memory about this company there is a new guy in charge, I would expect dividend to be cut altogether with the current debt issues? As well as the general recovery plan in place I expect any form of cost cutting will be taken. But would be looking at this as a possible recovery. As stated results should give more info on state of affairs. Could easily drop below 10p if bad....but rise past 15p if better then expected My general thoughts are that with the large debt levels this has a greater chance of falling at the moment. | jimmycarter
25/5/2008 21:51 | 8p on the cards maybe less. far too much debt. | stockscreeners
25/5/2008 19:01 | The more I look at this company, the more it seems to me that it is EXTREMELY undervalued and oversold. I still can see it going towards 10-12 pence level, but there should be a rebound from then. The sector will not be favored for a while, but this one should rebound in medium term and could be ten bagger in less than 2 years time. Company is right now in the process of turnaround and moving their activities to Eastern European countries should be very cost affective for a future. I have no doubt this will recover... I will try to have my money lined up when this hits 10 - 12p level, which could be as soon as next week. | farkyus
24/5/2008 23:08 | Results are due 5 Jun. I like it for the long term, but in the short to medium term so much depends on the companies update. Debt levels, the selling and lease back of their factories, if they pay a dividend, long term orders, present trading etc. It's a gamble before we get the info, but at present levels it might be profitable. | hoper2
24/5/2008 22:16 | ive got 8p pencilled in first stop. | stockscreeners
24/5/2008 20:33 | I like the company, dont like the sector at the moment, but is definitely on my watch list | farkyus
24/5/2008 10:56 | Glad I didn't buy back ( from 30's) last month, its halved again, yield 34%, so there has to be a reduced divi statement. I'll wait for a 2-3 day upswing. H. | hectorp
19/5/2008 15:35 | French finance minister said today that France should beat growth forecast of 2% for the year. I note that the Auto and Parts Index has now regained half the losses since last summer's high. | aleman
18/5/2008 08:41 | Thing is, car sales in France are doing fine - I know, I live there! Valeo, Plastic Omniun & Montupet, for eg., could all be interested at these levels. With a lot of denominated debt, that can only be good news. Better companies ( as in less risky ) SPs have been battered around for no inherent reason; more to do with credit crunch due to the chimps from over the Atlantic. FTSE250 been outperforming FTSE100 by quite a bit lately, so why sell these? Dohhh! Besides, who believes all the bragging that goes on in these threads? | napoleon 14th
15/5/2008 11:25 | I think you are doing a good job of posting this one into the ground Aleman, the more you post and try to be bullish, the more the share price falls. | papalpower
15/5/2008 10:24 | Growth in France and Germany, WAGN's most important markets, surprised to the upside as I suggested they would in previous posts as Europe follows looser policy to help weaker economies like Spain and Ireland to stop them dumping the Euro. LONDON (Thomson Financial) - European government bonds came under pressure following strong euro zone GDP growth and inflation data, which kept in place market expectations that the European Central Bank will not be cutting interest rates any time soon. Euro zone GDP rose a provisional 2.2 percent in the first quarter from a year earlier following strong GDP readings from France and Germany, and well above expectations for a 1.9 percent increase. | aleman
