Slight struggle this morning to maintain recent gains but tide may soon turn this afternoon. Nothing goes up continuously in the share market without some retracement. Should hopefully tempt in a few buyers. Keep the faith!

Bigger players than us PIs will quickly replace us once funding actually in the bag. I consider that I deserve a decent return on my money for having taken the risks. Happy to wait a year or two.

Marvelman- I would agree about profit takers taking the shine off the share price but they will soon be gone. Looks as though buyers are starting to come in as the day ends. Investors know that sooner rather than later news will arrive, often when least expected, and they won't want to be out, missing what may be not just a decent rise, but hopefully a higher and justified revaluation of the company and assets.

Masterman has a habit of announcing RNS’s in the middle of the day and wrong footing profit takers. Many here will likely be siting on a profit as I am but for me the potential uplift from either one of the anticipated announcements is worth the inconvenience that profit takers are doing to affect today’s share price ..confidence is high and my sense is that the money is waiting for such a tick down.

As Edgein so rightly suggests, coming events in Q1 could result in a good spike up.
See extracts from recent RNS's:

-Preliminary approval from a US Special Situations Fund to provide a US$30 million term loan to W Resources to fund the La Parrilla tungsten tin mine in Spain.

-Legal documentation is underway and financial close is targeted for late December 2017 / January 2018.

-Engineering is on schedule for completion in Q1 2018 and orders for all long lead items have been placed. Formal feedback on the grants application for a percentage of the EUR19.5m plant and facilities package from the Junta de Extremadura Government is expected in January 2018

-Letters of intent with two leading Tungsten customers have been signed and final off-take contract documentation is underway.

-2018 looks set to be a transformational year for the Company as we conclude the plant development and start production at La Parrilla, which is on track to be one of the world's largest tungsten mines, whilst remaining extremely low-cost to bring into production. Our shareholders have been extremely patient and we now look forward to closing the financing and accelerating the development process."

Will be some spike if they secure this funding almost equal to their market cap and then secure some grant funding from Spain. They've some mighty impressive EBITDA's in their presentations regarding future production.

Another encouraging day, + 6.7%. High of the day was .56/.57 so to end .55/.57 is impressive. I had expected the share price to end the day neutral. Shows an underlying demand for the shares and the mm's keeping the share price up to satisfy it. Just hope we have not run up too quickly. Would like to see good solid consolidation at the .5p level to support the next leg up, which now is dependent on an imminent and hopefully very positive RNS. Waiting with bated breath? Yes I am...

Rodrod1 - Thanks for link. Good to see our little company getting more exposure and the Bank of China view on commodities via Bloomberg link is very positive too. Next week could well see further consolidation. Happy days!

China seems to be tightening up on export of rare minerals. Guess the govt wants to conserve such resources for their own industries. A major opportunity for WRES I'm happy to say!

'Xiamen Tungsten is in the process of applying for i.ts tungsten export license to be reactivated after it was temporarily frozen by China’s Ministry of Commerce (MoC) for 2018-2019 exports because of two pending issues, a company official confirmed on January 8. On December 26 2017 MoC issued tungsten export licenses'

Just got home to see this very positive rise at the end of the day. Great to see share price firmly through the .50p hurdle. Even more pleased to finally be in a decent profit with hopefully much more to come. Wish many of your are in or soon will be in a profit too. If this continues could well be 'the' share of 2018.

Confidence showing with that price action. Once those in the know have loaded up we should get an RNS from the ringmaster.

Thanks to VISH65 on the THR thread for the link and post below. If this keeps happening any source of tungsten outside of China is gonna be in hot demand. Roll on funding for the largest tungsten development in Europe. US will be keen on seeing tungsten supply outside of China.

Export licence denied !

Should get the Amercians worrying further and add to Thors bargaining position

We are China’s largest manufacturer and exporter of ammonium paratungstate, tungsten oxide, tungsten powder, and tungsten carbide powder; and our export volume of cemented alloys accounts for 31% that of China; and the output and sales volume of tungsten and molybdenum wires occupy over 60% that of the whole country

marvelman - I think we probably have similar views of MM.
I've scaled in this last year but know all about timescale slippages,
dilution and over optimistic promises that were made by MM in the past.
I would've been very unhappy if I'd been a LTH.
However, with a large holding in profit, I look to the future,
hence my comment on an 18-24 month view, which looks good from where I'm standing.

I have a different view of Masterman to yourself illustrated by the long list of funding RNS's and the antics of the share price just before they were announced. I do agree that this has finally reached a pivotal point in the long run up to construction and production. Interesting that he has announced orders placed on the back of the $30 million facility when it apparently has not been officially finalised.

"All major plant components are now contracted and aligned with the US$30 million term loan financing"

The chart is looking very strong and is pointing the right way at last. Regards.

$30m term loan finance deal is imminent to fund construction.
If you can take an 18 to 24 month view, this is one of
the best investment opportunities I've ever seen on AIM.
Over the years, Michael Masterman has bought over £2m worth of shares
to maintain his holding.
DYOR and see if you come to the same conclusion.

Surprised the Spanish gov. are taking so long to approve funding, Ours usually takes a couple of months to decide such sums and this is dragging on.

Denjon,

Yeah surprisingly quiet on here today even though this is one of the last pieces of the puzzle for the construction of La Parrilla ahead of the funding news. Also some companies have issues processing the fines, WRES are already planning for the concentrator to handles the fines too. I wonder will the grant news come before the finalisation of the funding or will they go for a bumper release.

Regards,
Ed.
