Good update with more hints of some of the BBC work.

A few weeks here or there in business long since didn't bother me, and they say that currently they don't expect the later release date to impact market expectations to Dec 2018 anyway. The fact they are going to run it in beta by the end of this month only adds to my belief that the company is working flat out to get it as high quality as they can before full public release.

Obviously the World Cup and other massive sporting events in June and July would hardly have been the time for maximum publicity anyway, so August if anything might have greater impact.

I think one of the board said in a recent interview that if they'd learnt anything over the years, it was that everything takes longer than expected!

I'm just hugely excited by this company and though will be away for a while soon myself, have no intention of selling these. The journey for this company should continue to be very exciting

The thought of surgeons learning this way was what seemed a win win situation for me.
Patients not getting practised on and future doctors not fearful of making a mistake!

Just reading articles like the attached I can see so much potential for VR in Education in Schools and Industry.

VR training in emergency services, Police, Fire Service, etc. before putting people in actual danger or at risk. If they can experience different situations in the virtual world, they will be so much better prepared for it when it happens in the real world.

Its also 100 times better than sitting in front of a PowerPoint presentation listening to someone jabbering on for hour.

Thanks for the info Hazl.

Are we sure they have employed 26 people since listing re the Irish Times article?

Thats an incredible feat in such a short period of time if thats correct! I knew they had gone from 25 people to 33 people so that might be a typo?

Either way David and Sandra seem to be very hard working and ambitious people. They are driven to succeed and thats what I like about this business. Its well run and they hopefully will manage the expense load/cashflow as the business grows.

However, at some point I do expect this business to be taken out but it will have to be some offer for David and Sandra to let go!

'David and Sandra Whelan co-founded VR Education in 2014 in an effort to bring immersive technology to distance learning, thus transforming how students learn globally.

Formerly editor-in-chief of Virtual Reality Review, David has 14 years’ software development experience, with seven of those running his own web development studio.

Sandra, meanwhile, has worked as a senior editor and content creator for a virtual reality (VR) website and has significant experience working with large corporates.

Recipients of The Irish Times Business Person of the Month award for March, David and Sandra have also won a raft of international awards, one of which lauded their core product, Engage – a meeting platform that provides educators with the tools to share and publish their own immersive virtual classes.

Recently listed on both the Irish and London stock exchanges, VR Education Holdings has partnered education institutions including the University of Oxford and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

Since its listing, the company has signalled its intention to grow quickly, employing 26 people with plans to expand that team throughout the year.'

"Softbank has obviously bought into that vision because it is paying a very high price for a relatively small business that is still loss-making. Improbable did get an investment of $20m two years from the ritzy Silicon Valley venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz. It has used that cash to fund expansion and now employs nearly 200 people but still has relatively scant revenues.

Thanks 237... under 50 million doesn't seem so bad when considering what you posted earlier about "Improbable" raising $500 million....

Maybe one day they will be our hunter! :)

From the VRE admission document,

"Prospects and growth strategy

Release of Part 2 of Titanic VR via Oculus and Steam in H1 2018 (and release of the Part 1 and Part 2 of Titanic VR via PlayStation).

The Group expects that downloads of Titanic VR will increase significantly when Part 2 of the experience is released during H1 2018 at which point it is expected that the experience will also be made available for download on Playstation VR (Playstation does not accept “early access” or incomplete games/experiences)."

Great posts everybody.
I'm not surprised Britain is one of the best in the technology field at present.
We have always been regarded as a creative bunch and with the flurry of start-ups,entrepreneurs and indeed the needs must attitude, we are well-placed I think to benefit.
Creativity can flourish in these conditions exciting time for technology a new revolution!

At 25p the mkt cap will be £48,250,000.

I still think we can get to £60m before the end of June which is a 31p price target just on the news of the Titantic VR app release.

Thats on the basis the company still has around £5-6m cash in the bank with the potential for that to grow from there with the current deals in the pipeline.

After that who knows.

Stop... My imagination is getting carried much too far! :))

Seriously though, I do think there's a chance this could be huge. Oculus headsets are almost certain to come down in price imho, and that would surely broaden the appeal and widen the userbase, possibly exponentially, if so, which of course we saw with the rise of the mobile phone era. I am considering buying more on the dips.... if there are any!

You're the one with the numbers at your fingertips 237M, what would be the market cap at 25p?

Also thanks to Ch1rp (hope you don't mind) over on EVRH, this article could also be massive news for VRE.

The Oculus Go will soon be available in China under the Xiaomi branding.

The potential for further downloads of the Apollo 11 VR app and soon to come Titantic VR app will be massive!

I saw this the other day and couldn't believe my eyes - VR Education could be worth a great deal more than I think after the Titantic VR app release and the BBC work is announced.

UK virtual reality firm Improbable raises $500m

A London-based virtual reality firm has raised $500m (£388m) in one of the biggest investments in an early stage European technology business.

Japan's Softbank is backing Improbable in a funding round that values the business at more than $1bn.

The deal is further evidence that the UK's technology sector can now compete with the best.

There may also be relief that despite the cash injection from Japan, Improbable will stay independent.

Improbable was founded just five years ago by Herman Narula and Rob Whitehead, who had studied computer science together at Cambridge University.

Their aim was to build large-scale virtual worlds and simulations - mainly for games developers but also for other clients who could use them in applications such as modelling transport systems.
