19/3/2012 09:35 | Results look bang in-line with house broker's (Panmure Gordon) latest forecast but well below the October 2011 forecast from Northland which had sales of £2.5m and pre tax loss of just £1.2m. So when will their next cash call be? Their cash burn is still £2m per year. At least they have that Australian "distribution arrangement" to flap about when fund raising. I see that "arrangement" has already been downgraded to "worth up to £12.4 million over the next five years" from a few days ago when it anticipated achieving "minimum volumes to a value of GBP12.4 million over the initial five year period". If that makes anything approaching £12.4m over 5 years then I'm a banana! | typo56
19/3/2012 08:28 | Revenue less than £.5M, Mkt cap £9M. Definitely not worth buying at this level yet unless you are looking for a bigger fool to sell it to. Installed cost £300. This is too much to make it a no brainer as an after market fit, dependent on refurbishment and new build market wanting a green image. Regarding foreign sales, I thought we were the only country allowing the electricity distributors to supply such a high voltage compared to device spec. I can't understand why they aren't told to reduce the transformer settings somewhere along the line. The higher voltage ones have automatic regulation built in. A plus point in the results, they have a higher load version available, rated at 5kw total load. Edit I've just found a table which shows the old British colony countries as 240v standard, however another web page shows Australia reducing supply level to comply with Europe shortly. | melton john

16/3/2012 13:56 | I had a look at an installers forum to see what they think. Their opinion appears to be that there are better ways for their customers to spend money to reduce bills. As I've said before, it can only handle a fraction of the house load and if devices with potential savings aren't on the same circuit it can't handle them all. | melton john
16/3/2012 08:04 | If they achieve anything remotely approaching £12.4m then I'm a banana! Given there doesn't appear to be mention of any upfront payment and/or further guaranteed payments (penalty is merely possible termination of contract) then Energy Home Solutions might as well agree to anything. Why stop at £12.4m? Why not £124m? Still, I suppose it allows VPHA to claim they have a good order book, which may be useful should it come to another fund raising. Perhaps I'm being too sceptical. It will be interesting to see how many of the 980 units British Gas "ordered" have actually been called off. Assuming we can work that out from Monday's results. | typo56

15/3/2012 10:44 | It looks a good agreement, until you read the get out details. If I was in a strong position with a product these are not the sort of terms I'd agree in return for an exclusive distribution agreement. It looks like there's no penalty for Energy Home Solutions if they fail to perform, other than possibly having the agreement terminated. Meanwhile, they prevent a competitor taking it on. Nice! So will they hit targets? Hmm! What happened to that British Gas deal? Looks to me like a bit of puff ahead of dire results. We'll see on Monday. | typo56

15/3/2012 10:04 | DJ VPhase PLC Exclusive supply agreement for Australia TIDMVPHA RNS Number : 4102Z VPhase PLC 15 March 2012 Press Release 15 March 2012 VPhase plc ("VPhase" or the "Company") Exclusive supply agreement for Australia VPhase plc, (AIM:VPHA), a leading developer of energy saving products for residential and commercial properties is delighted to announce that its subsidiary VPhase Smart Energy Limited has today entered into an exclusive distribution arrangement with Energy Home Solutions Pty Limited ("EHS") for the supply and installation of its VPhase VX1 product in Australia. Under the arrangement, which is for an initial period of five years (and then continuing unless terminated by either party) EHS agrees to purchase a minimum quantity of the VX1 product in each year of the agreement. The agreement anticipates achieving minimum volumes to a value of GBP12.4 million over the initial five year period. The volumes are not spread evenly but scale up over the term of the agreement. Failure by EHS to meet the minimum quantity in any year of the agreement would enable the Company to terminate the agreement. The first call-off order for 500 VPhase units has been placed and these units will be taken over the next six months after which growth is anticipated to meet the minimum volumes as the market develops. The Australian market comprises some 9.19 million homes and the average domestic electricity consumption is c.50% higher than in the UK at 6,570kWh per home. This coupled with generally higher unit costs for electricity makes installing a VPhase unit a very attractive proposition. Rick Smith, CEO of VPhase commented: "This establishes an excellent way for us to access the Australian market and to build on the strong sales growth we are seeing in the UK." - Ends - For further information: | topinfo

08/3/2012 08:44 | I saw that film "A hole in the head" when I was a kid, how sad is that. Now I could say I would rather have a hole in the head than invest in Vphase but that would be a cheap shot. I found the film clip for you:- | melton john
