The Company announces that it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the capital of the Company (the "Shares"):

The Company intends to hold these Shares in Treasury. Including Shares which have been purchased but not yet settled, the Company holds 101,682,273 Shares in Treasury.

Following the above purchase, the total number of Shares in issue is 280,933,392 (excluding Shares held in Treasury).
