29/9/2006 14:57 | I think the mms are monkeying around with the offer price. Don't think the bid price has moved. | diogenesj
29/9/2006 14:36 | greensand - point taken, but I thought I was on the right thread. Chart above here shows a nice rise from around 285 to around 290 this morning. I just now compared that chart to LSE site chart which shows completely diff story, a fall from around 285 to around 280 at present. Apologies. | petersinthemarket
29/9/2006 13:04 | Can't see much change from here. :-) | diogenesj
29/9/2006 12:55 | Peter, are you on the right board/stock? Come on Robbie get down the pub | green sand
29/9/2006 12:17 | Rising nicely. Needs to breach and hold 293p to remain interesting, then 300p. | petersinthemarket
26/9/2006 08:08 | Robbie are you on a detox? | green sand
24/9/2006 13:35 | We seem to be geting there slowly, even though the share price seems to do a fair bit of lurching about. There is definitely a rough but rising support line showing on the charts. Stay positive chaps, and keep plugging! PIM | petersinthemarket
19/9/2006 23:02 | Sorry Trader - I was in that pub - it was me you whispered to - pls spread the word to others. Effort 10/10, result 1/10. best wishes, PIM | petersinthemarket
18/9/2006 22:02 | .. well DJ and PIM I am doing my best.. I do expect a tenner from each of you when I get it to 330 (be about 6 weeks roughly, one pub a day).. | renegade master
18/9/2006 21:38 | Nice work, Robbie. :-) | diogenesj
18/9/2006 21:17 | PIM - I gave you a hand today.. you may have noticed a rise in the share price.. this is cos I went into a pub last night and whispered to a bloke.. "Pssst..gotta hot tip for you... buy VP....... tell your friends......" | renegade master
17/9/2006 11:16 | Hi Robbie, Very pleased you are looking in. We have previously exchanged emails once or twice - I guess no-one needs reminding of your address. Assuming you read all previous posts, you will already appreciate that some of your fans on this thread believe you can move markets - how about that for fame! So please buy lots more VP and announce it on your site so we can get some fire under this! If you are a bit strapped at the moment, give us a shout and maybe we'll organise a whip-round. best wishes, PIM | petersinthemarket
16/9/2006 11:06 | ... I'll try and do better next time... ! | renegade master
16/9/2006 10:59 | Yes, pull your socks up, Robbie. We expect better from you. :-) | diogenesj
16/9/2006 09:45 | peter more than happy to chat to you.. do contact me at robbiethetrader@aol. | renegade master
16/9/2006 01:10 | Sp still seems to be going nowhere special this month, anyone got Robbies number? PIM | petersinthemarket
10/9/2006 18:20 | Yes, took some profit in the Spring, when I thought the price was high enough and I was worried about the market. I don't know why it went so high, but the shares are very illiquid (from memory, 51% held by the family and another 6% or so by the employee trust). Quite small-scale buying or selling can push them sharply up or down. I've bought a few back now mainly because I like the look of the chart, and because I do think they are reasonable value. | diogenesj
10/9/2006 17:51 | >DiogenesJ - Many tks for response - can't believe how quiet this thread is. Were you into VP just before the mkt fall in May? The share price had risen a long way to 370p - I was busy moving house at the time and missed most of that action. I would be interested in your comments on what caused the big rise? I am fairly happy to hang on to my VP for a while, at least for the medium term, but if we saw a similarly hefty rise I would definitely consider taking profits (my AvCost 240p) with the hope that I could buy in again if it settled back again later. Of course a takeover announcement could change everything. PIM | petersinthemarket
09/9/2006 21:27 | As an amateur chartist, I have to say that the chart looks pretty good. It has formed a good base and appears to be rising. As an amateur fundamentalist, I'd say the shares are good value, but not stonkingly so (unless someone wants to take them over). | diogenesj
09/9/2006 19:39 | Pardon me if I admit to being a bit biased here - VP is a stonking good buy! We dont need tipsters to tell us this if we each do our homework. Are there any experienced chartists looking in - I would be interested to here what they have to say. PIM | petersinthemarket
08/9/2006 19:44 | Moved up quite sharply on news of the R Burns buy, P: although it drifted back a bit later. Perhaps his power is waning. | diogenesj
08/9/2006 18:21 | >DiogenesJ - 7 Sep'06 - 353 of 366 ............normally a very illiquid share, but I'm amazed to see how Robbie B. can still move the market. Am I misunderstanding, or are you suggesting that Robbie Burns caused all this rise? Surely it was more to do with someone buying over one million shares at a cost of £3M plus on the 6th, Vp putting out a positive statement from their AGM on the 7th, and RB (with genuine respect for his trading skills) simply riding on the back of it all. Still, as a largish holder, I'm happy with the result so far. PIM | petersinthemarket
08/9/2006 16:05 | Yes, quite right, GS. We are still in the dark. | diogenesj
08/9/2006 16:02 | Might not be DJ, according to Aug REFS Britel were holding 3.47% which means if they now have 2.37% it makes them the vendors? If so who bought? | green sand
08/9/2006 15:43 | RNS out today: looks as though the big buyer was no one more exciting than the British Telecom pension fund. | diogenesj |
