Volga Gas test results: not much longer to wait


In a few weeks Volga Gas has to declare the final results of testing subsalt exploration wells Grafovskaya № 1, in the short term, we believe, will be an important factor in changing the stock price of the issuer.

hard to explain the rise other than MMs being a little bit short. Even then I would have expected slightly more volume than we have seen. Had it been a leak with regards to G1, if news were leaking I would again have expected some buying pressure.

wasn't a huge amount of trading behind yesterdays movement - 4 lots of 4k, and one large one of about 28k. Maybe it was simply MMs being a bit short of stock and just milking the buyer.

Drilling started 28/8/09 they stated it would take 250 days (ex flow tests) so by my calcs 6th May 2010at the latest hopefully.

Drilling commences on sub-salt Grafovskaya #1 well


Volga Gas Plc is pleased to announce that drilling has commenced on Grafovskaya
#1, the Company's first deep sub-salt exploration well in its Karpenskiy Licence
Area, which is targeting two potential gas/condensate bearing prospects in the
Yuzhny Ershovskoye structure.


* The Grafovskaya #1 well is to be drilled to a planned total depth of 5,200
metres.
* The budgeted time for the operations, excluding any eventual flow test
procedures, is 250 days.
* The well is being drilled with a brand new western drilling rig, LEWCO 450ton
operated by Eurasia Drilling, equipped with top drive and high pressure gas
rated blow out preventor ("BOP").

* The drilling will be supported by leading international service companies: Baker
Hughes, Schlumberger and certain leading Russian contractors.
* The well will intersect two separate potential gas/condensate targets at
different depths on which Russian C3 prospective resources have been filed as
follows:
