I agree with Ijamlon. Friday's and today's falls are most likely down to the shares issued to sellers of Servatron and GTK cashing in some/all of their additional windfall. Once they have finished Volex should start rebounding, especially with any announcement of a new addition, allegedly due anytime now.

Yesterday I posted here that I suspect that the appalling flooding in Europe , especially in Germany , will increase the voter support for the Green Party in Germany’s General Election ( this September ? ) , and that the Greens will also push for more radical energy efficiency . This would obviously be good for Volex in the long run ( don’t forget that the VW Group doesn’t just make cars in Germany but also has Seat ( Spain ) and Skoda ( Czech Republic ) . However I wonder if a reason for Volex’s share price weakness in the last few days might be precisely because the devastating floods have hit Germany so badly , with fears that , although I don’t think that the main car producing area in Germany’s Ruhr region , including Volkssagen’s Wolfsburg , have been hit , there might be concerns about the supply chain feeding in from outlying suppliers .

Vlx now down a good 10% from its recent highs, not that unique , many growth shares seem to have been hit quite hard. Story hasn't changed given recent updates have been very positive. Summer doldrums could be upon us.

There was a blogger on Stockopedia a couple of weeks ago that sold out (not Pail Scott). The fall seemed to start around then so might have been a domino effect with right stops etc.

I think ramp or deramp on a stock like this is very hard. There are lots of reasons share prices move that aren't 'manipulation'. I follow the retail boards and haven't seen any kind of negative positing on Volex at all, quite the opposite. If I had to make a guess I'd say it's caused by the new shares that have just been issued as the second tranche payment to owners of companies acquired by Volex (which are performing well). These types of shareholders have little incentive to hold on and are probably cashing in. If it goes any lower I will probably add a bit to my position as the business fundamentals look pretty attractive still.

Triggered my spreadbet stop ,will get back in if it falls further. On Bloomberg a few weeks ago they stated that the funds etc employ guys to ramp/deramp on the website financial boards under different names,so it is happening unfortunately

Agree with your conclusion. It is irrelevant whether this is due to global warming or simply a freak weather event...the political conclusion will drive the change and VLX should benefit further.

The dreadful flooding in Belgium , the Netherlands and , most importantly for us as in investors in Volex , in Germany will surely accelerate the push for electric vehicles . There is a small map on page 10 of the areas affected by the floods , which have resulted in “ at least fifty dead with dozens missing “ . The map shows Western France , Switzerland , northern Italy , the south of Belgium and the Netherlands , and all of Germany , with the epicentre of the floods being the industrial heartland of Germany . Germany will soon have a General Election “ … in which the Greens are predicted to make record gains and could form at least part of the post-Merkel government “ ( Telegraph ) . Under Merkel , Germany refused to have any nuclear power plants after Fukushima and has continued , I believe , to use a lot of coal for electricity generation . I’m certain that these appalling floods will provoke a backlash against Merkel’s CDU / CSU and a substantial increase in votes for the Greens in Germany’s forthcoming elections . Heartbreaking for Germany and neighbouring countries , but we as investors aren’t here to emote but to make investment decisions . This will force the big German vehicle manufacturers to accelerate the push towards electric vehicles . Good luck all

There’s a very interesting post today on the ADVFN chat site for Tremor PLC . It’s by someone called Dogsteeth , and he / she posted it at 19.07 . Ignore the first few words about someone called “ Sikhthetech “ , who had been “ annoying “ readers of the Tremor ADVFN chat site for some time . The bulk of the post is a quote from someone who was employed as a professional ramper and who , having been dismissed from his / her repulsive job , is getting revenge by explaining how they manipulate private investors .
