Hmmmmmm The share price is falling through resistance levels. 350, 330 now testing 320. If it goess through that 300p is a possibility. The only negatives I can think of are rising copper prices and failure to land the three acquisitions the company spoke of a couple of updates ago. I've been here from 40 odd pence building a decent position to an average of 75p. Like someone has already mentioned this has been a great ride from the lows of 30 odd pence. I'm watching and waiting to see the next move up. If we fail on breaking back above 350p it will be a time for concern. GLA

Like many I am puzzled and disappointed about the share price performance since results.

Patience required and surely a good time to enter or top up, positive news of those impending acquisitions should reverse the present trend.

Still remains a stock I have great confidence in. GLA

Commodity price inflation playing its part as hinted at in the update, otherwise news of another acquisition would be especially welcome imo.

Very disappointing S/P movement over the last week or so. I thought the trading update was extremely positive. And the possibility of the higher margin work like hospital cables coming back in play.

The Questor column in the Business section ( page 6 ) of today’s Daily Telegraph is upbeat about Volex , although the final recommendation is “ Hold “ . Questor writes “ It strikes this column that the growth of the business is keeping pace with the rise in the share price : the forecast price-to-earnings ratio of 19.5 does not seem excessive . Analysts at Stiftel , the stockbroker , said “ The group clearly has momentum going in to 2022 . We are attracted to Volex’s end market drivers , with the benefit of both improving core medical and industrial demand plus the structural change in the EV market “ .

Good news this morning. HSBC initiated coverage with PT at 425. HSBC client base is more large institutional and international than those of current brokers. Could have potential to open field to new larger investors.

Don't be pathetic. It's not going back to 180 or so is it?

Sorry OnJohn - had you filtered. Can't remember why.

Yes, I sold some at 120, 130, 140 etc - up to 180 odd last year after buying back in. I had 300,000 of these at one point near 30p - not clever, but you can see why I sold too early.

It has gone way beyond what I thought was 'fair' - but so have many others in this market. The COO departing had me concerned, as I think he was the business strategist here. But obviously the market thinks otherwise - happy to have moved on, I have never liked small caps.

Underlying story and numbers look strong. I guess we just have to wait for the profit takers to finish up. Frustrating to see it back below 350p

No problem.

A bit tongue in cheek, I don't know of any particular reason for the drop.

I still think the price here IMO will be a good margin higher than now by the end of the year.

Internal reasons - Ruffer were the people, along with me, buying these at 35p. Of course they are going to be reducing after a 1000% gain...

Buying now is a different ballgame.
