Example if you look at previous form on the stimulus talk, major banks should generally be up 3% on the open.

Bad because the talk of stimulus beating expectation should have markets up more if institutions were jumping on the bandwagon 0750 this morn. Also the spread of the index 1%. Very even. No sectors getting what they should from such stimulus talk It's retail level buying. Markets will falter this week on that alone

Granted il give you that. Certain elements can be considered when bullish. Don't see why dcf can't be one. But im sure when you were buying you also had to consider the risk side. What numbers have you crunched out for that?

It certainly wasn’t a pension fund and how do you know you didn’t know me!! I’m not flexible to outcomes I just have a generally flexible approach and clearly if I think the business is failing and thus cashflows are weakening I won’t just sit there doggedly hoping for best!! But my approach is DCF. As it should be.

But you told me my view is rot....now your suddenly flexible to outcomes. What can i say... see the carnage coming this week? Bad start to strong stimulus talk. No sector benefiting much. Even board. All retail. I'm sure you'll agree from your experience, bad start to week, all considered. No funds buying much

How strong my DCF is!! What does that mean? It’s a DCF and of course I flex it for different outcomes but why would I look beyond that? If someone has 100p its because they have lower cashflows, higher discount rate etc. So what? That is their view, I have mine. If I’m wrong, I’m wrong but that analysis stood me in good stead during a long and lucrative city career and I dare say will continue to!!

For some strange reason you only insist on looking at bullish targets. Are their no numbers out there to assess the bearish targets too? Refuse to look at negatives? When you buy, seek the bear. No point seeking bulls after execution Just find one market reason 100p is on. Then you have both sides of the market assessed. And can decide how strong your dcf is truly

Doesn't really matter what I think. That's the best thing to learn . Only matters what the weighty side of the market thinks, and does with its money. DCF/Intrinsic value didn't matter since January 2018. No reason to believe it matters now. Pretty sure dcf was higher than 240 btw last year. Seems it's dropping to meet price

Sentiment they won’t be 100p by Christmas don’t be so idiotic. The DCF is 240 odd and it won’t change very much between now and then one way or t’other so you think it’ll be at a 60% odd discount to intrinsic value do you? Rot!!
