Dyson manufacturers in Singapore and Malaysia, not the UK. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2018/oct/23/dyson-to-build-electric-cars-in-singapore-with-launch-planned-for-2021

"EssentialInvestor 30 Dec '18 - 13:54 - 34333 of 34351 0 3 0 Dyson does not manufacture in the UK." Really? Dyson shrugs off Brexit fears with massive UK expansion plan Technology group to open new 210-hectare campus as part of £2.5bn investment and plans to double workforce hTTps://www.theguardian.com/technology/2017/feb/28/dyson-shrugs-off-brexit-fears-with-massive-uk-expansion-plan Even if true why does it matter. he is trading with ROTW, not EU so obviously wants lower tariffs between UK and non EU. Sensible if you ask me

Golly grannyboy you must have had a rough 45 years! Every morning waking up only to spend your waking hours ranting against the EU. I’d say you need to get a life.

Go back to reading the express grannyboy. It’s the same process in any parliament. Let’s say we need to pass a rule on the safety if biosimilar medicines. Do you expect the MEPs (or MPs) to be able to write the rules on this? And then follow it up with another on Mifidii? You must have a very high opinion of your MP to believe they have the time and expertise to do this. The votes are also just a small part in the process..

So, vote's only for Timothy of Highgate, but Tiffany from Brum gets told to stuff it. Very egalitarian, and of course, part of the problem.

bothdavis 30 Dec '18 - 12:50 - 34325 of 34341 Personally, I believe Mrs May has been dealt the worst hand ANY Prime Minister has ever had. Whatever deal she managed to negotiate it was going to be unpopular: The hard right want to leave whatever the cost to the country, the Remainers want the softest 'leave', then the Labour party will vote against or merely not make any decisions so that the Conservatives will bear the brunt of the post Bexit electorate, then the other prospective Conservative 'leaders' will moan and groan against whatever is negotiated to placate their supporters. Agreed.

Maybe I am just bitter and twisted in that membership of the EU didn't bother me one jot. It's an elected body - MEPs - and the UK seemingly agreed with most of its laws and edicts. As for so called immigrants, We are a rich country and I don't begrudge helping people in dire need. I also don't have an issue with skilled Poles, Romanians et al doing jobs (generally well) over here. They don't generally use the NHS as they are, again generally, young and fit and so I have never had any issue with the main tenets of the EU, that of free movement of capital and people. We are an ageing population and we need these younger people to help us. So I just don't get this "reclaiming our sovereignty, free to trade with the rest of the world" rot. We are free anyway, we just have a well understood platform to do it from. But guess that doesn't cut it with Granny man who seems to think it'll lead to some sort of nirvana for the UK - it won't! Well it won't for him. Me? I'm sad; I'm sad for my kids and for the young people who have to live with this impossibly stupid decision. But as I say you give the vote to Tiffany from Birmingham, this is what you get! The wrong answer.

Well we had David Davis also negotiating and others who did believe, it wasn’t just May. To think we could have got a much better deal isn’t realistic. But you can see that EUs point of view. We have a very split country and parliament and I can’t see a deal that would satisfy more than half. We are not going to get a free trade deal without free movement of people, it’s going to be something else. Quite a few people I know who voted leave wanted to be in the free market, but wanted control over immigration (or from the ECJ etc). This has been twisted by the hard brexiteers that people voted to leave the single market without any sort of deal. It could be argued that people voted leave to stop the Brussels gravy train. Therefore we shouldn’t pay any Eurocrats wages or pensions. Starting with Farage, but of course he disagrees.

Agree May is in an impossible position but she never should have been the one negotiating. She believes we are better of in and the EU know that so she is negotiating for something she does not believe in, was never going to end well!

Personally, I have no reason to doubt that Capp runs a biz., just that he needs to spend more time on that than on ADVFN. Dyson no longer manufactures over here, but he does run a design business and the Dyson I.o.T. Why do folk try to knock entrepreneurs just to justify their take on the EU? Madness, but that's Remoaners all over for you.

The gangsters treat everyone who lets them with contempt, they have form especially when it comes to ignoring referendums, or just ignoring the wishes of the populations... Once the gangsters have finished using the Irish republic for the red herring irish border con..the Irish will be told to get back into line...
