monty...is that you?... monty, London, 24 hours ago I think they will not only keep dividend, but will increase next year, as assets sold to reduce debt. Yield nearly 9% good value.

Relax collect nearly 9% dividend, which is safe. At least getting paid to wait to get back to 225p.

@Diku, Suspect it's going to be dead money for longer than a few weeks... If(and when) the debt bubble bursts, we are ALL in trouble.

Vodafone Remains Undervalued, say Analysts The company has a fair value estimate of 250p per shares, against a current price just above 150p per share. hTTp://www.morningstar.co.uk/uk/news/172014/vodafone-remains-undervalued-say-analysts.aspx "That's quite some disparity!"

Best value in the FTSE 100 I reckon after the CEO said about future dividends, hope to return to growth with dividends, after reducing debt.

Great interview, nearly 9% yield, but would be nice to return to dividend growth, which his looking to do.

Vod with the yield surely a core holding in a ISA. When debt reduced, back to dividend growth.

If the Liberty deal did not get the go-ahead what effect would this have on the SP, curious to hear what others think? Would mean less debt being loaded on balance sheet, but, would hit future earnings. wllm

Anybody know what this means in English?... as more cost savings are put forward in a "radical simplification" of the business.

Market report: Vodafone Group closed up 1.5%, the telecom's chief executive officer expects the UK division to grow after a new strategy of cost savings will kick in, the Financial Times reported on Sunday. In an interview with the FT on the sidelines of a telecoms conference in Barcelona, Nick Read, CEO of the company and former head of the UK unit, said he expects the rate of underlying earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation growth to accelerate in the country, as more cost savings are put forward in a "radical simplification" of the business. Getting paid nearly 9% while you wait for bounce to 225p. Rather be in dividend payers defensive stocks, than say Facebook 52 weeks low.

The telecoms giant has reassured shareholders by confirming that it will maintain its pay-out at 15.07ȼ a share for the 2019 financial year. Good news for all those income investors who have hung on as the share price has collapsed.

Like I said Elliott surely take their stake up to 5%, if they rumoured yo have paid 186.5p, at 155p with a near 9% yield. Even if they don't, I liked the bit where director said they hope to increase dividend in the future, 10% then, lol
