Huge week coming up, drilling restarting at MLMP, full year results at NTLP,PINN & PPA, AGM at VIR. I hope the strike rate is more than one in five, expecting positive news at both VIR and PPA. Lets hope they and the result of those companies don't let me down as a couple of them I own nearly 3% of the equity.
Fingers crossed for this week, I wonder whether at the end of the week I can rethink giving up the day job.

share_shark is that a euphemism? ;)))

I am sure when the news eventually comes patience will be rewarded, and I would far rather be buying at these prices. Any company in these troubled times trading at nearly a 50% discount to cash has to be worth at least a small punt you would have thought.

£3m in the bank and the financial markets unwilling to lend to large companies let alone AIM tiddlers seems like fertile ground for VIR. It's been a while since the PPA investment and I can't see the directors just sitting their twiddling their thumbs.

A bold statement to make that there will be nothing for six months, just a feeling or based on what evidence?
Cheers

Also no discount required for LDP warrants imo

All very well if you expect that NL will not find another deal worth backing but he found LDP and made a fine profit. Find one of those per year and we are laughing. I'm quite content to stay invested and add at these prices or though I am waiting until the AGM to see what is said before I add more.
Time will tell whether this is another HML

Investments in the 2 listed stocks are worth £420k at the bid price. 20% discount for illiquidity gives a fair value of £336k. Plus £133k if the LDP warrants were exercised and sold at the current bid price, discounting for illiquidity. These investments are therefore worth around 0.08p per share of VIRs 0.28p share price.

The 0.2p balance values the company's cash (assuming £2.5m is left) at £1.2m, which is fair for AIM in the current climate. Certain stocks such as MIO have larger discounts. This allows leeway for ongoing expenses and director salaries which drain the balance. Considering the full valuation and wide spread there is little reason to invest here.

xcap - or graphie. or jam butty mines. or just about anything would have an effect on the share price Perhaps not a further investment in PPA though. This would make a great takeover target at this price with the amount of cash they hold so I don't see our Mr Rowan letting things slip much further.

big great if they could get involved in the oil and gas sector. just an announcement that it was involved in oil and gas would take us to 1p imo and mcap would still be just £5.77m
