hmmm, it's not a great offer but I think in a volatile market like banking (with brexit in mind) 400p would be fair

Rubbish offer in my opinion .Broker target is 360p . So no real Premium really . Under ten times earning !Sit tight . Slowly up to 360p , expect another suitor to come in for 420p offer . N a i , d y o r Sicknote

It is likely somebody else will come in with much higher premium . usually 30% minimum for a take over, though the combined group will probably do well in the future. there will be some profit takings , then it might ... there are surely some consolidation going on within this sector.

I think the bid undervalues VM. too and personally I don't want CYBG shares. I'll hang on and see what happens.

Values VM at 360p a share, I thought the bid would come from overseas so this may be the opening salvo in a bidding war.

Cybg wont get this deal done , they can barely pay a div, stuck with all these miss selling hyenas on their backs and making an opportunist bid for virgin, the deal does not happen but it will put a 350 floor on the share price.....

I take it back; just had a look at CYBG and it looks to have a strong balance sheet. I think I'll wait and see what transpires here; always thought VM was worth more like £4.

Yes not enough really, virgin is a strong growing brand and cheap, I think they will rebuff the bid but it shows the value so a rerate and no deal is the best outcome

Hope my sale is wrong but for me it has taken a lot longer than I envisaged making some decent money out of vm. Probably run straight up to 400p now.

Sold another chunk over 310p and now left with a modest position which I will retain in the belief this is a decent long term growth story. Hoping 350p is on the cards come the next results.

dividend growing nicely too but conservatively, and not stupidly, so nice outlook for large investors

City boys probably looked at P/E ratio and realised its too low !So their buying so that can recommend it to their wealthy clients when the share reaches 360p and they sell at 400 p !Sicknote
