It appears you are getting fact and fantasy muddled, perhaps you should include my post in December advising people to sell, or do you only read what you want to hear? If you want to invest in things you know nothing about you would be wise to listen to all opinions, not just those that suit your Greater Fool investing.

andyj You have been warning us for very many months so please dont make it sound like if we had listned to you we would have got out near the top a few weeks ago. Fact is if we had paid attention we would have missed a massive increase.
All this emotive language again.
I agree the situation is of concern but actually stock markets have done well in countries where the pandemic is bad

Cases now being confirmed in HCMC. I would not buy any at this point. My advice has been to sell several weeks ago, when VOF and the VNI was priced to assume the virus would never come here. From a personal perspective I hope it can be controlled, but it feels like we are at the tip of an iceberg. The health and economic implications could be catastrophic. I will keep the board informed...regardless of the unhinged criticism for daring to warn investors of the potential of this happening.

Yes although short term the discount has got rather low so perhaps a little bit of downside before returning to the uptrend.

Similar situation south of Bangkok for a few weeks now. Flood testing local factories and overcrowded migrant areas but largely contained. About 800 cases daily just now but mostly from testing in locked down areas. Vietnam likely to be similar or better as their covid management is far stronger.
But may be another buying opportunity into VOF as before

That is nothing more than hope. It has fallen 11% already. The real storm clouds will come at the end of this quarter for reasons none of you yet know, regardless of whether this latest outbreak is controlled. If the outbreak spreads then...troi oi.

I think the downside is limited to perhaps ten to fifteen percent, the discount got too small and needs to open up to ten to fifteen percent.
