personally extremely satisfied with the reported figure. anyone interested knew they would be down but what really grabs my attention is they are making £100mn on £300mn turnover. class act.

results are out on the 5th. The may be a little light of expectations and there has been a decent bounce. When stocks drop before figures I usually anticipate a bit of a shortfall.As you rightly say some quite chunky bargains today.

There was a Barclays note out on Wednesday lowering their target price is all I can see. But massive volume today c£30m traded.

Big institution unloading rather clumsily?

A leak ahead of results next week?

Or, just profit talking ahead of that release after a recent strong run?

As another British company gets taken over (ETO) following Cobham and Greene King only a matter of time before Victrex does also.

Quality company making an important product with no debt trading at half what it was a year ago.

25th July statement is worrying and continues the weakening trend that started last year. The statement is so woolly, but is clearly a profit warning. Usually come in threes...seems quite rich given there's no growth & the global industrial recession reverberating around the globe. Regards,

Again wild over-reaction this morning. If I had the money I would take over this company ASAP for ~ 2800p+. Major new contract also announced today.

A two year low and surely must be in play now for M&A - just hope the board are honest enough to disclose any bids. This was trading at 3400p+ just last September. BlackRock holding 4% but also shorting 1%?! EPS will drop to ~110p from 128p in 2018 with likely no 'special dividend' this year but NO DEBT and net cash position with a great product trading at almost half price now.

This company has no debt, a great product and a rock solid balance sheet. Equity ratio of almost 8 (!).

8% down on a downgrade? Shorters had their fill today but takeover definitely on IMO.
