18/1/2008 15:54 | One of my posts from the other thread: Liarspoker - 17 Jan'08 - 10:30 - 61 of 62 edit I added a few around lunchtime yesterday. :O) Look at what's happening here and project it forward 2 or 3 years: * 50% + increase in volume production due to new plant * Supply chain investments * New film facilities * Low margin flouride division closed * Filtration plant upgraded and increasing production by around 90% This should bag from here easily with a bit of patience imo. | liarspoker
18/1/2008 15:52 | LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Victrex PLC reported a 13 pct rise in full-year pretax profit and said current-year sales volume has been sustained at levels similar to the increased volumes achieved in August and September. The industrial plastics maker reported a pretax profit of 52.0 mln stg compared with 46.1 mln a year ago, while revenue rose to 131.0 mln stg from 122.5 mln in the same comparison. The company declared a final dividend of 12.6 pence, lifting the total dividend to 17.3 pence from 14.4 pence a year ago. The company said exchange rates have had an adverse impact of 2.0 mln stg on pretax profit compared to 2006. It still expects trading results for 2008 to be adversely affected by the strengthening of sterling against its key trading currencies -- the yen, the euro and the US dollar -- compared with 2007. Victrex also said if the estimated 2008 rates had applied in 2007, it would have had an adverse impact of 4.1 mln stg on profits. | cambium

18/1/2008 15:46 | Could see a big bounce once the MACD turns. Happy to add at these levels. :O) Read the last results and think a few years forward...... Should double and more imo. | liarspoker
18/1/2008 15:44 | nice volume today | cambium
17/1/2008 11:32 | Fully agree with you Liars. Not many companies with an operating margin of 30%+, good sales growth, good cashflow and no debt. | geovest

16/1/2008 18:22 | note this: it wont be as bad as they said: It still expects trading results for 2008 to be adversely affected by the strengthening of sterling against its key trading currencies -- the yen, the euro and the US dollar -- compared with 2007 | hectorp
12/12/2007 14:29 | There was I hoping they'd head a bit lower..... Well done CR. | garth
12/12/2007 14:18 | Whoosh ! What a steal :-) CR | cockneyrebel
11/12/2007 13:09 | yep, you're right imo looks a cracking buy and hold. CR | cockneyrebel
11/12/2007 13:01 | Hi CR, this thread averages around six posts a year! Agree the results were better than expected. Should do very well with the additional capacity and growth in demand, especially from Boeing and medical products. Good share to hold for the next few years. | geovest
11/12/2007 10:53 | Wow! How asleep is the market - not a post regarding the results here and they beat forecasts and gave a positive outlook! Nearly 39% off their high, beat forecast and strong demand. Watched these one bag in 12 months a couple of years ago - reckon they'll rocket again when the market grow's it's balls back. Looks like they'll do a good 47p eos this year to me and the fwd PE is half what it was a year or so ago @ just over 12.5 CR | cockneyrebel
17/5/2007 12:03 | Why the rise? Anyone know anything about it. | rosylee
09/4/2007 19:41 | Maybe it can get above the previous high in the next week or two. I have a slight concern with the slowing growth rate announced in the Trading Statement. 2nd half volume last year was 10% above the 1st half and the 1st half of this year is only 5% above the 2nd half of last year. P.S. I got back into HIK in the recent pull back | pr0fithunter
04/4/2007 13:45 | Was going to sell, but the weekly chart looking quite good so will hold for now. | rosylee
21/2/2007 21:06 | Thanks - I'll take a look at FKI. I am also fully invested and need to sell in order to buy. I have quite a few on my watch list and would really like to invest in several of them but need to release some funds first. There appears to be a daily pattern emerging with VCT - up in the mornings (to normally new highs) and then falls away in the afternoons. Sells outnumbered buys today 2:1. I still believe the shares are well undervalued on fundamentals and will get rerated at some point. | pr0fithunter
21/2/2007 08:11 | I will look at Celsis some time today Profit. FKI I am holding in hopes of a good rise, been doing quite well. I need to sell something to buy anymore! | rosylee
20/2/2007 23:47 | Funny you should say that. I have held HIK for 4 weeks and sold my position today on the back of the report about overcharging the NHS. However, it hasn't moved much, so I will probably get back in on the next pull back (if there is one). I agree it looks like its about to break out and on fundamentals I was lookjng for a medium term move toward £5.00. For your information, I bought into Celsis (CEL) today which I also think is about to break out. | pr0fithunter
20/2/2007 08:58 | Profithunter another equity that I have my eye on for breakout is HIK (Hikma Pharm) especially on the weekly charts. | rosylee
20/2/2007 07:41 | Well it did manage to create that new high yesterday, not by a lot though 828p! | rosylee
16/2/2007 16:47 | Just failed to close at a new high. I agree it looks like it's about to break out. The share is quite volatile, so it could shoot up very quickly towards £9.00 then fall back. I may top up on Monday. | pr0fithunter
16/2/2007 12:50 | Nice rise today, any reason why? If it closes above 827.5 then it will be reaching a new closing high. Perhaps after peaking three/four times now its ready to break out. | rosylee |
