This disclosure is to reflect the fact that the voting rights held indirectly
by the underlying intermediate holding com-pany Standard Life Investments
(Holdings) Limited ("SLIHL") increased above the 10% notifiable threshold
due to trading on 6 July 2018. SLIHL now effectively holds the delegated
voting rights to 10.07% of the shares in Vesuvius plc. Prior to this
crossing, SLIHL effectively held 9.98% of the delegated voting rights.
This disclosure also reflects a change in methodology for Section 9 to
detail the full chain of controlled undertakings through which the voting
rights and/or the financial instruments are effectively held starting
with the ultimate control-ling natural person or legal entity.
