02/6/2019 19:30 | I am a big fan re the concrete side of things and it has been mentioned by the company. Concrete and the 3d printing of it in a feb rns. | 20pc
02/6/2019 19:14 | Concrete is viable I checked having dismissed it. OT on a daft conversation. Tmoon, how do you get a £30 share price from a 36 mill tonne supply. Currently the PE 15 factor is 10p per £1 mill profit. £30 = £300 mill profit. So the figures you mention equate to 83p per tonne profit. I think that’s a bit tight😎 I have been awake for over 24 hrs having been to South America so please excuse any misread. | superg1
02/6/2019 19:11 | There have been many posts on here by very knowledgeable people re concrete but from what I can gather it doesn't need the good (more expensive) true graphene to create better qualities. Graphene oxide seems to be Ok and many manufacturers can produce that. I stand to be corrected by any Civil Engineers / Scientists on here. www.concreteinstitut | sandbag
02/6/2019 18:59 | Cheers sandbag. Some mindbending numbers for something that’s not even in the big 5. However Aecom might be in the big 5 and they do concrete. For selfish reasons I’d like the price to stay low for a few months yet so I can get close to my target of VRS shares. | mandatory
02/6/2019 18:32 | mandatory, I don't believe Chinese concrete has ever been mentioned by the company. The big five were mentioned IIRCC by David at the AGM in his presentation. It seems none of us took notes of that though so can't really remember / confirm what they all were. | sandbag
02/6/2019 18:04 | Is Chinese concrete one of the big 5 so often talked about? | mandatory
02/6/2019 17:53 | Evergreen... not sure if I've missed something and apologies if I have but your calc's to get to a share price of £30 means that at a ratio of 1.5% by weight Versarien would need to produce 36 million tons of Nanene per year. A bit of a tall order!! I agree the prospects for the company are huge and we are invested up to the hilt here so looking forward to the things to come. At the age of 73 I don't want to wait too long!! | tmoon
02/6/2019 15:50 | Good Afternoon evergreen, For me, having watched the thick brown smoke belch from a cement works near York (co2 !!!) for year upon year, I think this could lead to an amazing reduction in pollution of our planet. I think I read some were 1 tonne concrete creates 1 tonne carbon dioxide ! | laginaneil
02/6/2019 15:01 | Would be absolutely amazing Actually mind blowing !!!! | kemorkid
02/6/2019 14:18 | Edit. Apologies everyone, I was using complex formulae in a spreadsheet to quantify the implications of the signed terms with China. I wrongly transcribed a ratio into a post which I have since deleted. Will correct and re-post in due course. GLALTH | evergreen8

02/6/2019 09:07 | Re bigt rns, (aia for long post). a huge achievement by vrs thus far. As i posted matts tweet from oct the other day, substantial progress since then - chinese state proposing a strategic investment. A gold standard deal. The rns itself points to biams graphene research, conducted in part at UoM - collab agreements with them, (links posted at the time) as follows: "...BIGT was founded in 2017 by Aero Engine Corporation of China ( Per poddy, bigt is like a chinese version of ngi. So of further interest is following paragraph from rns : "..Term Sheet envisages BIGT assisting Versarien with the establishment of a subsidiary in China, wholly owned by the Company. Any such Versarien Chinese subsidiary would be focussed on the manufacture of Versarien's graphene and other 2D materials in China a So i read it that bigt will help link chinese firms &/or institutions with vrs chinese subsiduary - "(Manufacture of vrs 2d materials)...Sale to chinese chinese customers...Working in collab with bigt.." Therefore, it begs the question, what are bigt active in? : it seems they helped to establish an applications centre - found in twi article.. "The Beijing Graphene Industry Innovation Center, in which AECC BIAM is the majority shareholder, was set up in April 2017 by Beijing Institute of Graphene Technology (BIGT) and Z-Park Graphene Industry Alliance in China’s ‘Silicon Valley.’ Further - (the beijing graphene industry innovation centre - bgiic)... "..highlights the joint investment of the Tianjin-Beijing-Hebe So in effect via bigt - vrs could be in collab with above 3 chinese regions and the bgiic? And non exclusivity allows the vrs chinese subsiduary to progress with other provinces. More about the bgiic here per graphene info article: Nov 05, 2018 "A graphene industry innovation center was recently established in Beijing, China. The center aims to become a world-class gra Beijing Graphene Industry Innovation Center will take the advantage of Beijing's innovative resources to research and develop cutting-edge new materials. It hopes to speed up the transformation of scientific research achievements and enhance the graphene industry. In China, which has substantial graphite deposits, more than 500 companies already specialize in graphene products. China expects to establish a comprehensive graphene industry system by 2020, according to a government plan drafted in 2015." More on the bgiic, set up and applications interest here: "..Beijing Graphene Industry Innovation Center is mainly composed of Beijing Institute of Graphene Technology, Beijing Graphene Institute and CIGIU, which forms a “one body and two wings” pattern. It has gathered the advantages of optimal resources, built a multi-level talent incentive mechanism, established a “public intelligence” R&D model, and a shared industrial public land." 'Graphene Projects' "Graphene film with large-sized & volume production technology Graphene Applied Technology Research: Graphene Rubber Materials Graphene Applied Technology Research: graphene paint and coating materials Graphene Applied Technology Research: CFRP Graphene Applied Technology Research: wear resistance technology Graphene Applied Technology Resources: Aluminum alloy cable Graphene nano-flakes (GNFs) & GNFs surface molecular modification technology" Of course, then who are z-park graphene industry alliance - partners of bigt in bgiic ? 'A national association' : the 41 members look like they should be top notch players from across all of china ! Below found via google translator: "中关 Obviously, speculation and a rough guide, but to my mind vrs have a massive opportunity here if i'm correct (aia if not) and negotiations go to plan. Aimo. 01/6/2019 20:58 | Dynamo tweeted malcolm gladwell - his book 'tipping point' investigated the factors involved in this phenonomen. Is that the see saw effect in operation? Best ellis The Tipping Point 'The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference' is the debut book by Malcolm Gladwell, first published by Little, Brown in 2000. Gladwell defines a tipping point as "the moment of critical mass, the threshold, the boiling point".[1] The book seeks to explain and describe the "mysterious" sociological changes that mark everyday life. As Gladwell states: "Ideas and products and messages and behaviors spread like virusesdo" The three rules Gladwell describes the "three rules of epidemics" (or the three "agents of change") in the tipping points of epidemics. The Law of the Few "The Law of the Few" is, as Gladwell states: "The success of any kind of social epidemic is heavily dependent on the involvement of people with a particular and rare set of social gifts".[3] Acco Connectors are the people in a community who know large numbers of people and who are in the habit of making introductions. A connector is essentially the social equivalent of a computer networ The Stickiness Factor refers to the specific content of a message that renders its impact memorable. Popular children's television programs such as Sesame Street and  The Power of Context Human behavior is sensitive to and strongly influenced by its environment. Gladwell explains: "Epidemics are sensitive to the conditions and circumstances of the times and places in which they occur".[11] For example, "zero tolerance" efforts to combat minor crimes such as fare-beating and vandalism&n Other key concepts Gladwell also includes two chapters of case studies, situations in which tipping point concepts were used in specific situations. These situations include the athletic shoe company Airwalk Scientific Some of Gladwell's analysis as to why the phenomenon of the "tipping point" occurs (particularly in relation to his idea of the "law of the few") and its unpredictable elements is based on the 1967 small-worl | ellissj
