20/6/2018 13:01 | Why is it 'obviously' F1? He asks if people prefer plastic or glass protectors on their devices. Seems like speculation run riot. | eel tamer
20/6/2018 12:54 | Ah, very true Spike. However, see though protective screens would help with the issue of visibility you speak of, plus given the light weighting and 'slot and drop' possibilities for quick construction it may be an idea? | 1retirement
20/6/2018 12:44 | Thx spike. Made me think it was neither one nor the other when i read it ! Interesting though. Atb ellis | ellissj
20/6/2018 12:38 | Elliss - I see where you are coming from i.e. could be in the paint for instance. However the tweet was an answer to the previous tweet: 'do you prefer plastic or tempered glass for your devices, and why?' And their known expertise is in gadgets / gadget protection, so not sure how they would have ended up at F1 .... except of course through Neill perhaps - who knows. Best wishes - spike | spike_1
20/6/2018 12:30 | retirement: nice try, but I have never seen 'screens' as such on an F1 race track, normally it is a 'chicken wire' net (obviously reasonably high tec' to cope with a wheel doing 180 mph). If any one goes to F1 for the first time don't get behind the net (in most parts of the track) because you cannot really see left or right as the net obscures the view. Like trying to look through a fence sideways, always get higher than the fence. Same applies to being at the front in a stand (usually). Best wishes - spike | spike_1
20/6/2018 12:29 | "It's as protective as glass but it doesn't chip or smash?" Not glass then ? Best ellis | ellissj
20/6/2018 12:23 | An exciting opportunity to spread the "Nanene" word throughout the global composites community and wonder if NR and Team will have a presence on The Graphene Council booth since the USA's National Graphene Association are surprisingly not listed as an exhibitor at this ConferencehtTps://gl | diplomat65
20/6/2018 12:15 | Any possibility it could be related to the track crowd protection screens? | 1retirement
20/6/2018 12:13 | Anyone want to hazard a guess at the share price once 10 collab partners have placed theirs? ;-)(But don't hold you breath. I expect orders from collab partners to start arriving next year - anything before then is a major bonus) | club sandwich
20/6/2018 12:11 | I spoke to your wife this morning, thats not what she told me.......well, when she hadn't her mouth full. ; -) | 1retirement
20/6/2018 12:08 | Anyone want to hazard a guess at the share price once all ten of the F1 constructors have placed their orders? | potsol
20/6/2018 12:07 | Perhaps a question for anyone who has done profound research, maybe superg. I came across this little company (French)last evening and was wondering whether there are any UK companies doing the same and at what stage they might be? hxxp://www.nawatechn | woolybanana
20/6/2018 11:53 | WR63 - yes exactly my thought - am working through the reg's now. So far I've found the spec' for the mirror doesn't seem to specify the material used, but it just could be glass. Haven't got as far as the camera housing reg's yet, but indeed the lens shield I would expect to be glass. 2018 regs: | spike_1
20/6/2018 11:47 | Waterford ;-) | club sandwich
20/6/2018 11:45 | Pilkingtons next then ....lol | squire007
20/6/2018 11:43 | I believe that I understand that comment SG. | rogerbridge
20/6/2018 11:39 | Perhaps it relates to the on board cameras. No idea what they contain but they need as much protection from flying debris and are liable to damage | wr63
20/6/2018 11:37 | Why glass? Sorry been busy but glass means something to me, not that I'll say what it is, I'm just curious. | superg1
20/6/2018 11:36 | I thought it must be to do with the crash helmet visor or pull offs. However as you point out Spike the tweet does reference glass so really not sure where it leads us. | wr63
20/6/2018 11:32 | IG shorts are just small time traders BTW playing the sentiment and charts. Pis take the price down which helps the buyer\s as they get them cheaper from the supplier. That will dry up at some point. Until of course news drops and cheaper takes a few days off. A lot of days off when the supply runs dry if that buyer keeps going. I know Matt, David and NR don't play games, but I did wonder if Jinan complicated and will take time is a nice little trap. He did say they were talking to 5 or 6 others and the first one as we know was very keen and treated NR like a VIP in China. It's like the hammer is up and "fair warning" has been given. | superg1
20/6/2018 11:24 | Handy - yes that occurred to me also, but the tweet, apart from being a response to a question about glass, also includes glass as the reference point in that tweet. I've been trying to work out what in a F1 car is made of glass, certainly not the visor or rip -offs, possibly elements in the instrument panel, although I would have thought more likely something else that was both safer and - importantly - lighter. So - I'm stumped ;0( Edit: possible that the pit crew would have mobile phones, although official com's are on hand held radios. And in any case the tweet reference wouldn't really work for a pit crew would it? | spike_1 |
