Small amount of SDX and AMER, modform.

Did well out of SOU.

That's about it - really don't know what I am doing, but it's fun.

No idea.

I need a rant.
Some boring old farts in yoodleland blither on as if they control things, rather than being controlled and my portfolio goes up 2.8%.
What on earth has this got to do with the valuation of FEVR and BOO?
Reminds me to concentrate on quality companies and ignore the global scene.

You could've cashed in too soon, red, because of yoodlepillocks words!
We live in a debating society world.

My current plan is to top-slice trading BOO shares and shift into SOS if the timing is right and to buy SDX with bits of income.

A boy has to have a plan.

PS

It is the weekend.
No idea what cr*p will be written by the great unwashed, and how that will affect markets on Monday.

These are strange markets.
Volumes are always low just before, and just after Christmas. I have no idea how the Algos are programmed, and how true or false the share prices are at any one time.
I have just taken a gut view and bought/sold as I see things at that time. I am not sure that charts can help, but I have looked at overbought/oversold indicators.
No idea of a good price or a bad price, or even a safe price.

Dow isn't a good guide - Top 30 shares!!
Down 600 one day and up 600 the next. What happens on day 3?
Toss the dice:-)

UK follows the yoodles.

I have a few more shares and still have a few £k cash in the bank, for another probable dip.

Cautious from Coventry.

Hey Red

I've just been wondering how much of these odd rises is the PPT and how much is the real market.
Still Unnerved from Nuneaton

Sold Bree, Spx and RDSB recovered my stakes and kept the profit as shares.
I want to maintain my cash. The downside risk, in this market, is greater than the upside. Blow the froth, I have preserved the cash:-)

Oily puppies.
Anybody have a view on SDX?
If I remember correctly it overpromised for 2018, then had an hiatus pending news on a BP link and is waiting for a piece of paper from .gov on South Disouq.
I have a skinny puppy, that might repay some feeding.

I disagree on G4M, still looks decidedly expensive for a low margin equipment manufacturer and distributor.

I'm hesitant buying anything new that doesn't have any positive or obvious upcoming news/momentum eg. AMER until at least after May's Brexit vote.

BOO is bouncy and SOS is soggy. Mmmm.

My goodness, that G4M reaction looks overdone. I tend to agree with the views above and didn't see this coming when I read the rns.

I don't know enough about the company to buy, but it does look like the classic type of response where one should either average down or sell.
Hard yards!

Exited with a quick 10% loss (which would have been nearer 20% by now). I don't particularly want to get locked in to companies when market is irrational as could be sitting on a large loss for some time. I think G4M will do fine as a business in longer term but I'll hold fire on any more falling knives. Should have learnt from QUIZ! At least stakes were small.

Oh dear my G4M entry looking too early. I might just ban myself from making any more purchases this year to avoid these haircuts chipping away at portfolio - at least until markets stabilise.

Bought 100 Spx @ £59.65.

All the protective gear on and fingers crossed.

Impressed by the AMER presentation. Thanks homebrewruss.

So, it's a roulette wheel stock that has survived civil unrest, floods and maintenance schedules.
Conservatively managed and paying for exploration from income - a gilded roulette wheel indeed!
Lots of spins of the wheel ahead.
No point in having a roulette wheel stock if they are going to spend a year on seismic whilst the wheel stays still.

I doubt whether there will be much in the way of dips with this level of activity and publicity - unless it rains.

42% fall for G4M, on trading update that showed expanding sales (+41%) but "these capacity constraints prevented further sales growth compensating for the lower gross margins and, as a result, the Board now expects FY19 EBITDA to be slightly below FY18 levels".

Personally, although increased profits are more important than sales, I believe they are in a land-grab phase, and therefore doing well at just that.

I had run down my holding, so took the opportunity to buy.

Thanks.
It certainly looks promising, but then Nano has been on the cusp of greatness for 5 years or so:-(
Their PR certainly has the University Research mentality.
Remains option money.

Things are going well at AMER as the new year kicks-off Apad! I would think that the momentum can't continue now, especially with the DOW off over 600 points at close of play yesterday, so perhaps we will have a bit of a pull-back for a while? It may of course be one of those situations which defies gravity and just keeps going up for a while. Not a clue what will happen but glad I topped up on the recent weakness last year.

red - I see NANO have issued some news that someone on the NANO BB found. Shame their PR is absolutely useless and has been for years. Sometimes wonder what PR employees actually do when they are at "work".
