13/8/2018 02:18 | Amazed that your ex puppy is still breathing, Lauders. Rightly or wrongly, I think they could still do well Apad. Not sure they are near death yet, but I must admit I am happy I switched to ZOO last year with the proceeds from the puppy sale. Your puppies are doing OK apart from AMER. That is also one that is behaving badly for me and I bought in before you did so am down even further! I still expect it to be a good investment one of these days. Trouble is can I keep holding it while others I hold look better prospects? Have to keep looking at the start of my previous post with the quote dacian kindly provided from an FT link! | lauders
12/8/2018 23:27 | Just found this too. Think this was what I previously found that made me dig a little deeper. If it shoots up... sorry in advance:) | thelongandtheshortandthetall
12/8/2018 22:59 | tlatsatt Thanks, that is very helpful. red - watch the red flag!! red | redartbmud
12/8/2018 22:35 | oh yes I remember now. I thought management handed themselves special dividends to get the money out of the business quickly as well as benefiting from the IPO. Just didnt like it was all. Kind of like we've got 5 years to maximise this business before it pops. Just my very loose opinion. | thelongandtheshortandthetall
12/8/2018 22:29 | CARD not me red. thought about it being a short. I was supprised when hydrus mentioned it a buy. they had a very healthy cash balance.. gone now. debt appearing and profits plateauing. Hydrus is your man for that one and hes probably right but as I say I thought it a short. EDIT: above is from memory. | thelongandtheshortandthetall
12/8/2018 22:29 | red Vitec - no position as yet but I think the appointment of Duncan Perry, the experienced CEO of XPP as a non exec is interesting in terms of its APAC expansion objective. | valhamos
12/8/2018 22:03 | Anyone still have an interest in:- Card Factory - I see that the share price is well off the peak. Vitec - just looking. No research as yet. red | redartbmud
12/8/2018 18:41 | melton. looks like APADs true to his word. his next post contained 26 links haha. | thelongandtheshortandthetall

12/8/2018 18:30 | APAD That is the key point. Brits running US businesses usually ends in tears. red | redartbmud
12/8/2018 18:18 | One good point about the FEVR US line-up is that it is yoodles running a US operation. It is not being run from the UK, so there isn't the usual culture gap. I'm feeling quite positive, and surprised. apad😎 | apad
12/8/2018 14:20 | Interesting insights already, red. CEO is older, very experienced in the US drinks industry. Knew that anyway. Finance guy is about five years with FEVR, from the UK - so there is a spy in the camp. CEO has used his experience to hire younger folk with very relevant industrial backgrounds - they'll work 70/80 hour weeks. All looks very sensible. Now I'll see if I can glean anything useful from their posts. apad😎 ps Never thought I'd be using Linkedin! | apad
12/8/2018 13:40 | APAD Quite a list!! red | redartbmud

12/8/2018 11:08 | Apad, can I ask a favour? I remember a discussion about why you don't post complete links but can't remember the detail. I often use the Advfn app on my phone and it doesn't seem to support copy and edit functions so can't follow any links that you post. I'm sure I'm not the only one so could you reconsider your reluctance. Ps changing http to hTtp stops Advfn blocking the link. | melton john
12/8/2018 10:51 | I sold Filtronic at its top to buy a house. Phew! apad | apad
12/8/2018 10:49 | HCM is clearly a good big un. It is about 30 times bigger than BVXP, so they fill different slots in the spectrum. Enthusiasm for ZOO seems to be meeting the roll-out, timescale reality. Watching the graph to increase. Amazed that your ex puppy is still breathing, Lauders. apad😎 ps Any Mac users - I've just discovered a browser called 'Brave' and, well-pleased, have switched to it as my main browser. | apad
12/8/2018 10:47 | Ditto Lauders, moving house to be closer to my son and new grandson and wanted to top up the pot for a purchase. Solicitor opened a can of worms and we dropped out and will rent in the new area while looking around. | melton john
12/8/2018 09:22 | I resisted dacian! Believe me, but I was buying a property and needed funds so the resistance was not strong enough. If there is ever a market sell-off it is one I intend to get back into if possible. I think everything including BVXP will be sold off if a major turn takes place. In the meantime I have to start building up funds again in the depleted bank account for when the time comes. | lauders
12/8/2018 03:44 | Thanks for the Miles Johnson excerpts too dacian. This is very true: John Armitage, fund manager “Investors confuse rates of return with the potential for absolute gain. You make the mistake of misunderstanding the true potential,” he added. I suppose getting in early enough and have the conviction to ignore everything that goes on, unless the fundamentals change, is the key. Seems like on present form a few companies fall into this category and are often discussed here: BVXP FEVER ASCO BOO ZOO BUR I only hold one of those now (did hold BVXP & BOO)! I do have some others that I hope will be on that list one of these days, i.e. ARS, TXP & my largest holding HCM. Mind you I didn't actually get in low on the ladder on the latter but I see great potential with them over the long term. So they are a definite hold for me until the story changes. | lauders
11/8/2018 19:20 | No comments in the Linkedin FEVR 'activity' sections on dark mixers yet. Looks like they are leading with G&T, particularly pink tonic. I think BOO have their hands full at the moment. My guess would be a KIDSBOO, homebrew.. I did read that the SOS website would be a brand and a fashion magazine. Worth watching. apad | apad
11/8/2018 16:27 | Hydrus, nice to know you are in SOS. I was waiting to close another position before considering a position in SOS further but there does seem to be a bit of excitement brewing around it now so I may get involved anyway. I wonder if this is a space that BOO may look to enter in the future via one route or another? | homebrewruss |
