Also I don't like acquisitive companies. Looking for organic growth.

Mod I decided against SDI a couple years back as I didn't like the fact they had multiple divisions, some of which I thought didn't have that much in common. Seemed like an odd mix. Possibly a confused strategy. The share price rise and business progress to date indicates my concern may have been misplaced. Or at least it hasn't affected them so far.

Just finished watching Judges Scientific video and quite like their approach to buying up niche businesses.. Wish i has researched them earlier! Probably will dip a toe in for now to keep an eye..

Does anyone have a negative view of JDG? Looking for a short case for it.

Happy to have a look, mod.
You're right though - don't like cameras.

Nice to see SDI is breaking out, another UK quality small cap ignoring the wider market sell off. I am pretty sure it's not apad's type of stock

MJ.
I'd be happy to hold Sophos.
It's too much of a gang fight for me at the moment.
Just glad I saw the light!

Interesting discussion about Vietnam. VNM recently broke out and made a new high. May take a small slice.

I'm impressed with Sophos too apad. Needed a change from Kaspersky so went for the free trial. Only downside is they don't cover older versions of Windows. I have a flatbed scanner from Canon which is brilliant but not supported on newer Windows, so I use that on an old laptop with Vista. Currently using Avast trial which I'm not so keen on. You've brought the sunshine with you it seems.

I was going to mention ECSC APAD, now 75p. Last yr they got to 575p
DFX which I held for a short period has also dived to 9.5p from 215p
Risky sector by all accounts

AIEA got away !!

I had accumulated about 170k AIEA shares (an absolute nightmare to buy in quantity)and even attended the AGM in Wakefield - held till around middle of last year but sold out way too early in the mid 30s !!

Well done to all holders :)

Janeann - I recall discussing our portfolios on possibly the ARC board - including AIEA at some point last year.

Held ECSC for a month last spring and sold at £3.99.
Currently 83p!

Be afraid, be very afraid!

Installed Sophos on my Mac, to test it. Impressive.

BOO comment...

An analyst generating a narrative that allows them to track the momentum.. who would have though it?

Nothing to do with my view on BOO, which is limited to the growth priced in to the stock being too high for me with little further analysis.

Can't understand why cos show their hand at early stage re potentially acquiring another. In my experience when they do that, it rarely comes off.

BOO
"Its offering to customers is not “competitive enough to sustain high levels of growth” and industry peers have shown that investment is needed to keep on snapping up market share from its struggling high street rivals, RBC told clients, slashing its target price for the company from 160p to 125p."

Yup, I remember the TUNE discussion - looked at it, and of course rejected it - prejudice about companies selling electronic boxes if I remember correctly 🤔
"These are my prejudices and if you don't like them I've got others".

FFX announcing the rollout of its own Mastercards and on-line access of its business customers to sources of loans ("no credit risk to FFX").
Management is both impressive and open.
Overcame my prejudice to financial companies when I learned that Banks saved benefits for large customers, screwed small businesses and so had left a gap at the bottom that they would be in no rush to fill.
Ratio: Free Cash Flow/Revenue turned positive at last interims.
£102m company, H.
Unfortunately very strong ahead of interims. 24 April last year.
