16/8/2017 20:42 | Dacian , I am still puzzled on what basis you sold GAW. Fundamentally it looked very cheap, and technically it looked fabApad, FFX is concentrating on corporate , that's where the majority of growth came from and that was emphasised on the video. The reason for cardone buy is the access to many company cardone has access to and the opportunity for cross selling. In near future it will change it's name to FairBank since the FX side is only a small part of the revenue . | modform

16/8/2017 16:44 | FWIW Just been musing about FFX (on the boat to England). Interim rns said that corporate growth was 93% and the CEO's reply to me about CardOne emphasised its corporate side. The markets are ebullient. My daughters think I am a genius - I haven't had the heart to disillusion them. apad | apad

16/8/2017 10:26 | Distil DIS share price getting very close to a new breakout. A couple of major brands really successful, others only additive and not yet at break through level. DIS now has hundreds of links with major outlets in UK and Europe. Associated in some advertising with Fevr mixers. Awaiting news on entry to USA. Recent increase in buying volume suggests more good news is expected some time over the next few months. Long term plan is to sell big brands to a global booze comany for several tens of £millions. Despite my normal impatience I have held, traded and added to DIS since 2013 and fully intend to keep my core holding for a long time yet despite its large distortion of my PF. My lithium play, EMH, is disappointingly slow but I expect it to come good over the next year or two. It is strongly believed that the Czech govmnt and several German car mfrs, especially VW, with their Skoda brand manufacturing locally, will soon have to take a financial interest in EMH. Mrs P's modest PF is going very strongly with only RGL still dragging its heels. My recent punts on XLM and SDX are very slow atm. I expected a bit more excitment but I'm sticking with them for the foreseeable future. I need not comment on my IQE holding. One look at the near vertical chart tells you all you need to know. I have another two Tiddlers I am considering atm but they both need a bit more time and thought before I enter. I'll post them here when I get a bit more info on them. A mixed fortune type summer so far, but also far more bouyant and profitable than I had expected a few months back. I hope others are finding similar success. pete | petersinthemarket
16/8/2017 09:34 | Aren't we all, red :-) Machining at CGS I seem to remember. I wonder if there will be a brexit weakness. HLMA showing some strength at last. My BTFD looks to have been reasonably timed. FEVR now 26% of Stairway. Everytime its share goes up the others go down - strange that :-) It's determined to test my resolve not to punish success. I don't understand why the last results were so well received. Story hasn't changed though. Maybe it's because all the tintins saying it's way overvalued have shut up? Nice divy on the way. Bought 4 cases of tonic at the coop on offer (25% off). Goes in the pantry with my coffee and olive oil futures from Aldi. apad | apad
16/8/2017 09:02 | APAD Castings was Castings. Brian Cooke is showing his age now. They have been investing in new technology and robotics. Fewer lower paid staff and more highly skilled personnel as a balance in the workforce. The customer wants more sub assemblies, which gives a better chance for added value and margin improvements. Never going to be a Fevr but Hey ho.. Seems like BBY are flavour of the construction sector today. No more bodge it and codge it!! red | redartbmud
16/8/2017 08:24 | I ate dog meat at a wedding party in Sumatra, Lauders. I don't recommend it - stick to eating vegetarians. FEVR proves yet again that it is not a top-slicing type of share. Don't diss DIS it seems. I'd like to see a BOO dip before Sept. Castings is a remarkable company in a very difficult sector. I visited them back in the day - they know what they do from soup to nuts and hate wasting money. Shouldn't have sold IGG - maybe there'll be some .gov announcement to cause a dip. apad | apad
16/8/2017 02:05 | That would be considered cruel Apad! It certainly is trying my patience I must say. Not sure there will ever be good news. Just give me a spike and I will be out unless the news is of unbelievably epic proportions ;-) | lauders
15/8/2017 22:34 | The Company has been notified that Tim Hall, Chief Executive of Breedon Southern Limited and a Person Discharging Managerial Responsibilities ('PDMR'), has sold 800,000 ordinary shares in the Company ('Ordinary Shares') at a price of 91.5p per Ordinary Share. The Company has also been notified that Mr Hall's wife, Valerie Hall, has also sold 250,000 Ordinary Shares at the same price. Yup. Renegade :-( red | redartbmud

15/8/2017 19:36 | Next also downgraded. This is only the start. MJ, just so. It's hard to reject a company that one admires. Off to the mainland tomorrow - really scary. Red. I think I saw an rns about a BREE director sale - but it's all a blur. apad | apad
15/8/2017 18:33 | Maybe think picks and shovels Apad, which companies are selling the leading edge wafer photo etching equipment but as you say, a very specialised technology and probably very secretive with non disclosure agreements every where. | melton john
15/8/2017 16:33 | I bought some DPH on the dip in early July. Largely because I was guilty about selling out a while ago. They are now up 7% and the yield is 1%. That's in a month! There's a lesson in there. Wish I had the sense to learn. apad | apad
15/8/2017 15:25 | Panic, it's the one I have mentioned a few time KEMET CORP USA stock. I am well up from average entry , so it could be high risk dyor , I am trading the technical and fundies look ok to me. It's a difficult area for me with not much expertise, and hence my technical preference . | modform
15/8/2017 15:03 | Not convinced that is profitable, mod. I'm probably wrong. MJ, the problem to me is that you have to "assume" IQE has a lead, unless you know it has. Then you have to judge that the lead is protectable. Too difficile for me. Nice to come back to an all time high. I wonder why I don't just own BOO and FEVR? apad | apad
15/8/2017 15:01 | Which is that Modfirm if you don't mind me asking ? | panic investor
15/8/2017 14:53 | Apad, Thanks for your response , I have added to my holding now. It does GaN the same as IQE, but IQE must be unique in 3D sensors. It is the only company I know that does high voltage multi layer ceramic semiconductors used in mission critical applications. | modform
15/8/2017 14:48 | I took a £500 IQE profit the other day when the day traders seemed to be running the show. I'm feeling a strong urge to get back in which probably means there will be a correction. I had that effect on ACSO and BVXP, I'm trying hard to not chase what's hot. I worked for an American company which had a chip fab plant which was outgrown by the progress of technology. Lines etched on silicon get smaller and smaller and it wasn't suitable for the latest equipment because of building vibration. Imagine using a hand held telephoto lens and camera and you'll get the idea. This is a very capital intensive business and my employer got INTEL to do the fabrication for them. So I assume for the moment IQE has a lead on the competition. | melton john
