Sold the rest of my WEY for 25p. Valuation seems crazy. Will read their results later this month and take a view.

I think the DOW will hit 30,0000 before it crashes.
It is about the flow of money away from the EU and UK.
I don't think other Western markets will follow the DOW higher, as money comes out of them to go to US.

Hydrus, re, "Still of the view that we are more likely to see a multi year bull run from here than a crash."

Most of my longer term index charts agree with this view. The DJI for example is just getting into its stride, having taken out historical resistance. However, as a caution, I wouldn't rule out a short term retest of the trendline that connects the long term peaks of this chart.

Assuming US markets continue to lead, other Western markets will follow.

IQE looks like a terrifying feeding frenzy to me.

I suspect that no PIs understand the technology.

Still, I have been wrong before.
Many, many times :-)

I know, H. And I agree. Thanks for the reminder.

.....but the current price is still 73p cf 58p.
which, I believe, is remarkable.
I have certainly remarked it :-)

I think FFX is much, much more risky now.

'You make a good point, mod.The insiders have much more information about the FFX purchase than wot we av.'No offence but I read that type of comment frequently on company specific threads - the type of threads we all are wary of.

WEY has gone nuts. Sold half at 22p. For a microcap the valuation now is a bit silly. Like DIS which I don't hold. Still of the view that we are more likely to see a multi year bull run from here than a crash. However I have a cash buffer in case that view is wrong.

Sorry apad , on holiday and using mobile app, which is very much outdated. The same thing happened to ALFA which I bought after stockopedia guys said, they would bet against it. To me it has a real moat so I bought it under 400p and sold it around 470, didn't want keep it while on holiday. I was expecting the share price to drop to around 350 but there was so much demand for the shares. They are expensive, but love the BB, I had almost been talking to myself there

From FFX:

"Much to discuss.
CardOne not cheapest for individuals but is very competitive for businesses. We will look at both customer bases however.
Lots to do and we will do more statements and presentations as we go through this journey."

58p mod. Yes, it's startling to see its price.

I sent this to the CEO:

Ian,

CardOne is not a bank.

You have a banking license.

When you have bought CardOne, it seems to me you will be a functional bank.

Are you going to do any presentations or issue any more statements when the process is complete?

I have been trying to research this, and there is not much info out there.

CardOne is not the cheapest offering for people with poor credit records.

I’m not at all sure that the private customer base of CardOne is much use to FFX, although as CardOne does not allow overdrafts it probably won’t be a burden.

Apad, I am just so surprised the share price has kept so well, and will be very bullish if it breaks the recent high. For a placing at 55, punters are paying 75p to buy it today, that looks very bullish to me. I am just going to follow the technical rather than fundamental on this one.The USA stock valuations are getting scary, but for the time being I am sticking with it.

Pete, NTQ news driven in November I reckon. Then survive and thrive, or dive.

Sold FFX in daughter's ISA.

Not enough information in the public domain to make a decent judgement about the CardOne purchase.
I'm buying the rights and keeping for a while. I guess it's a decision about the management.
As far as I can see they will be a bank after this purchase.

I have been aware of IQE for quite a while but have been fully invested and therefore unable to buy. I decided on Friday that having taken the 590 on Pays that i would take a position in IQE on Monday morning, The share price had fallen to 107 and i hoped it may fall a little more. Cue the Telegraph article and the train has left the platform doh!

WJG taking another run at breaking through 200p today with some pretty hopeful it may succeed. Personally I don't think there is anywhere near enough volume yet. But it's a game little fella and it must succeed sometime and no doubt take us all by surprise when it does. pete
