Lloyds has an extremely large share of the mortgage market. What will happen if/when interest rates rise?
Being used as a government liquidity pot for PPI, now there is the potential scandal of businesses being forced into bankruptcy unnecessarily. How many £gazillions will that involve.
Banks no longer allowed to close branches that are losing money.
Directors still do not understand the exotic products that are even now being offered, and the potential losses that may arise from default.
Brexit could see another raft of business defaults.

Why do I hold so many?

I do wish holders well. I have been wrong before!

Thank you. I am waiting for the next RNS or two to see how things go and then will reconsider my position. I am trying to keep a level head with them so we shall see. As you admit you can't get it right all the time and I am hoping this is one of those times. Will be watching events very closely though as I have my eye on switching funds if there is a sudden "massive" spike for any reason.

Happy Easter to everyone. It is Songkran where I am!

PS - DiscoDave4 - The following link shows that Lloyds were in #1 position of stocks purchased by HL's clients. Just a small reflection of possible current sentiment ;-)

Anybody any views on LLOY, been researching financials and along with commodities and energy (oil & gas), think it's their turn for recovery and growth. PF already overweight oil/gas/miners so now looking at banks, mainly LLOY and OSB.DD

Yes EI was on Skg earlier today, he is ok but has stepped back a bit. Lack of stamina.

Zulu thread is nicely reflective.
Had another quick look into QuicklyBackward's board. Hell's teeth - again. Self-delusional just doesn't cut it. Good learning experience though - repeat after me, CONFIRMATION BIAS.

Mrs. apad is very pleased with her FFX card.

I've looked at the company before and done nothing.

Anyone have a view?

Had some cash floating about in the portfolio and couldn't think what to do with it, so sank it into BOO ahead of FY on 26th.

Positive update from prsm explains the jump today

Further to the trading update issued on 22 February 2017, the Group's momentum has continued to build with 151 new software deals secured in the five months to 31 March 2017, of which 87 were new customers and 60 were upsells across 40 existing customers. All new customers were secured indirectly via the Group's channel partners.

This strong sales progress, coupled with ongoing momentum in the Group's pipeline gives the Board cause to expect that revenue for the full year will be significantly ahead of existing market expectations. As a result, and in order to continue to grow the business globally, the Group will invest further in its global sales and marketing activities.
