How come TRIAD have about £5M in the bank (make a bit of a profit) but their market capitalisation is just £5M.
Doesn't that mean the market thinks TRIAD is WORTHLESS???????

From Chairman's statement:

For the year ended 31 March 2019 the Group reports
revenue of £22.7m (2018: £27.8m). Profit before tax has
decreased to £1.02m (2018: £1.66m) and gross profit as a
percentage of revenue has increased to 19.3% (2018: 17.0%).
The Group’s year end cash reserves have increased to
£4.6m (2018: £3.8m).

And it also has a thumping massive YIELD of 8.5%

Come on! This has to be the bargain of the century.

There is no real cash burn only £1649000. They might manage another six months without a placing. Anyway, I've no wish to bore everyone else so talk amongst yourself. Bye.

Red:
But surely that is immoral to say that but then not give the Chairman's explanation:

The decrease during the period is due, approximately, to the operating loss for the period of £0.3m, the dividend paid during the period of £0.3m and the impact of overdue debts of £1.0m as at the period end, all of which have now been cleared.

eg at time of writing the chairman unambiguously said he had the £4M cash (and possibly rising) as I cannot see any other meaning to phrase "ALL OF WHICH HAVE NOW BEEN CLEARED (eg the guys have paid them their £1m)

Anyway we'll soon know in a week or so as FULL YEAR results in JUNE.

I wasn't expecting either of you to invest as I suspect IT is a bit racy for both of you - just pointing out that basically Market Cap £5M. Money in the bank £4-5M. No real debts.About to pay a thumping big dividend. I suspect there is no other company in the UK with so much cash and so low a share price relative to its assets.

They are expanding (eg recruiting)

(machine Learning is basially AI, GIS is like all those covid-Tracker things)

Cheers Net.

Thanks red I can understand the following and if they're losing money compared to the previous period that's enough for me. The rest is above my paygrade and possibly subject to creative accounting.

Cash (consumed)/generated by operations (1,161)

Net (decrease)/increase in cash and cash equivalents__(1649)
Cash and cash equivalents at beginning of the period___4604
Cash and cash equivalents at end of the period_________2955

Melton John: "pump and dump" - No way - Triad PLC are a local company (I've actually done some work for them over the years(I'm an IT contractor - WEB and APPs) - I've held the share since they were about 11p (on and off) ). If you read a bit more you will probably have realised that. I do know that most of their employees are actually working (eg making money). I'm not too sure about the "contractor side" but I'm assuming they make a small loss this year but will carry on with the Dividend. They have the cash (millions we both agree - )

There is no real cash burn - they dont BUY anything they only sell Labour. As long as no one is on 'the bench' they will be making money. If you had read the full report you will note it ended thus:

"The decrease during the period is due, approximately, to the operating loss for the period of £0.3m, the dividend paid during the period of £0.3m and the impact of overdue debts of £1.0m as at the period end, all of which have now been cleared.
"
eg at time of writing they have £4M cash (and possibly rising).

I can see you are the sort of chap to look a gift horse in the mouth.. It is a gift horse.. Its a cracking bargain (unles the full year is a thumping loss and there is no dividend - but I cant see why they would suddenly make a huge loss - I think they will just be carrying on more or less as normal - I guess).

Thanks for your reply netcurtains. Yes I can do maths.
It's a long time since the year-end which figures you are using.

The H1 figures show cash in the bank of less than £3M having burned through £1,189,000 after a £M1.161 loss compared to a £269000 profit for the previous H1.

Far be it from me to call this a pump and dump but I suspect there won't be a dividend, maybe you aren't too sure either.
Oh and by the way I got the figures from the company website.

Thanks Melton John..
I was using Triads last results from their pdf
From Triad - not from anywhere else.

I find Triad more reliable then websites.

I think you'll find the dividend is about 7% ( I kid you not).

I think you will find they have cash in the bank of about £4.6m
I think you will find they are currently making a tiny loss (but nothing special) - normally expect £1m profit.

The whole company is valued at £5m... Perhaps because stockopedia is giving wrong info??

Scroll down this investors page and view their pdf:

Your YIELD figures are ridiculous (0.01) its about 7% (perhaps higher).

FINAL RESULTS IN JUNE........

(why use stockopedia when you can go to the HORSES MOUTH???

Final results in June. I suspect theyll be OK and you'll get the dividend.. (the one industry where people can all work from home is IT).

Interim Div 1p, Final Div 2p = 3p.
Buy Price about 35p.....

3 / 35 * 100 = 8.5%

Do the Maths...

CASH IN BANK. DIVIDEND - IMPOSSIBLY LOW MARKET CAP

I don't know where your data is from netcurtains but Stocko say:

For the six months ended 30 September 2019, TRIAD GROUP PLC revenues decreased 24% to £9M. Net loss totaled £408K vs. income of £479K. Revenues reflect a decrease in demand for the Company's products and services due to unfavorable market conditions. Net loss reflects Unwinding of Discount Provision increase from £0K to £31K (expense). Dividend per share remained flat at £0.01.

If it's ADVFN Data I've found it unreliable and why I pay for stockopedia.
