In today’s crazy market the share price relatively has barely flinched considering the investments JN has pulled into this, the market has yet priced this in IMO but starting to look like it’s waking up...

Anyway we shall see, I am due one more top up near term

So what was the rise in anticipation of last Oct?

...Its risen near 50% in the last ten days for a company that required serious reorganisation which takes time to unravel for increasing shareholder value. Investor expectations need to be reasonable here considering and I very much doubt further rises will be sustainable if they continue.

In relation to cryptos, its a 'Bang' in waiting (and probably to the demise of the wider market considering the current exorbitant valuations) but the technology of Blockchain will remain in the future...

Can hardly call this a surge when it reached higher heights last October at half the Bitcoin price, no KNB Investment, and no media attention to the AZD drug...Not sure about your crypto views but at least we agree there is potential here

Its expensive based on the recent surge. Kanabo has had a phenomenal rise and I doubt BtC is sustainable for much longer regardless of how media perceive its continuation to those 'Dizzy Heights' as it's a serious threat to the global economy and its core fundamentals, make no mistake...

So without much further strength in Vela's interests, i believe the share price will languish and consolidate with a new range before it progresses again in anticipation of the Arcadia trial which is still many weeks away...

Hutton, I never disclose my holdings, if only for impartiality, but I have an average of around 0.68 with a rather large holding and whilst it may not be prudent, I haven't top-sliced yet as like everyone else I await progress/success in the trial...

I'm curious as to what price you have got in to believe it's currently expensive. I think most are expecting a lot more upside from here with just a 13mcapVela imo has always been a traders share but the last few trading days suggest something is brewing...

If your current broker doesn't allow you too invest in Vela, I would suggest opening an online ISA account with HL. Although they're a little expensive with charges, the platform is pretty good...

But i would suggest a little patience as many have invested at much lower levels and i think better opportunities will arise for you to become involved but ultimately it's your decision...

Do remember that we have an interest in two Big Pharma assets although I have no idea what the other is!

...I'm surprised investors are continuing to buy into the price action presently, just be very careful as it is a little too high and it could be luring investors into a false spike....

I would much prefer to see the share price settle, set a new range and consolidate to sustain the rise otherwise falls will be inevitable...

Snippet from the Telegraph.

Prof Evans said: “It’s another great British win and will obviously will have commercial value. It will be a very affordable, orally-administered drug."

He is also hopeful AZD1656 could eventually be approved for the general population, not just those who are diabetic, adding: “If things pan out correctly this compound could well cut across the board.

“The holy grail is to have something that either the doctor can prescribe because he knows you have got Covid, or a variant even though you are vaccinated, and you take a tablet for a few days and it subsides.”

Whilst Kanabo is great appetiser the investment in ARCADIA trial with St George's & AstraZeneca is game changer. Positive early indications being reported in the Telegraph and I think we have 8% royalty once costs are recovered. Here's the Trial summary:-AZD1656A glucokinase activator that has been shown to reduce blood glucose for up to four months in humans;Has also been shown to activate the migration of T regulatory cells to sites of inflammation in preclinical experiments;May prevent the development of cardiorespiratory complications observed in hospitalised patients with COVID-19;AZD1656 has already undergone phase ll trials for use in type 2 diabetes and is currently under clinical investigation for renal transplant rejection.

I think so too buddy but this is just how 'Shrewd' the good man JN is. To have such sustainability in a share like AAA or even Braveheart within a short period of time...You know this guy just doesn't mess around and his only interest is to increasing shareholder value...But consolidation will be arriving shortly, any concerted weakness loadup, the medical trial has undoubted potential...

Feel much more confident about this now!

Maybe another deal or two on the table will also help, but in the main, I feel St George's could be the remedy we need!

Yes at 40p just under £1m

The real gains will be if we get positive news from SGS trials VELA could multi bag over a few trading days.
