You can reach a much wider audience via twitter, investors don't use FB to research companies.

God use of the twitter a/c this morning pushing both Port, Ultra-D and StreamTV both tweets getting RT’d to a greater general audience and also AIM investors. Thanks Antony. DC

AntonyCan you please start using #VELA for your tweets please as otherwise it's a completely pointless exercise and perhaps put some context around the tweet rather than just copying and pasting a link? Thanks

Good afternoon all, Thought I would respond to some recent posts here since issuing the Interim results. cl0ckw0rk0range ... we post across all the main social media platforms already. Twitter may well be the favoured platform, but it is also the platform with the most "noise" of so many posts being tweeted and retweeted. It can be laborious. We will, of course, continue to post on Twitter, but any news or comment is far easier to follow and refer back to on Facebook. Jfreshfield; Jerseymike; Bapodra_Investments .... hopefully to cover the points you have each raised. I have spent time over the holidays bringing the website up to date and in line with current thoughts. This still needs some work doing. I expect the updated website will be available soon. Investors will be able to see more information about the investee companies, how to follow them and details about Vela's shareholding. daicaprice .... to date, in practice what has happened when Vela issues an RNS, is for investors to pick up on the RNS news releases and promote this on social media. Vela's use of social media has to date been to supplement what is released via RNS where the news i snot deemed by our advisors to be material enough to announce. Despite this, that news may still be of interest to investors. I would urge you to read the recent Chairman's statement on this subject. Antony Laiker Vela Technologies plc

I’m tempted down here, way undervalued now in my opinion but I agree it could be shaved a tad lower. I will watch and wait. DC

£2.8m market cap! Either this is seriously undervalued or the assets within Vela have gone down to such an extent with losses and no revenues (which is expected in a company like this of course) then £2.8m may be a fair and reasonable reflection according to the market.

Antony, I agree that the website for Vela Technologies PLC must be up to date and of a higher standard. There clearly needs to be an improvement here. It needs to be clear on the website and on any relevant RNS releases like today what specific investments Vela has made and what its stake is worth at current prices. This will help investors to better value the business from an investment perspective. It seems the market does not think that Vela Technologies PLC should have a market cap of anything higher than £4m.

Jfreshfield ..... we value the investments in the same way as we have always done All, investments are held at cost unless .... 1. The shares are listed on a Recognised Investment Exchange (RIE) where we would value the shares at the market price 2. Where there has been a significant funding round involving "credible" investors, we would adjust the valuation to that level. Antony Laiker Vela Technologies

Thanks Anthony, I find twitter a very handy tool to promote my portfolio to others and regularly get DM’s from other users asking questions about my reasons behind holdings. Have a great Holiday period and let’s hope for some rises in the New Year when people realise how undervalued we are. DC

daicaprice ..... the twitter link on the RNS it turns out is not correct. the correct address is https://twitter.com/velatechplc Apologies and I will speak to our advisers and see whether we should issue a replacement. Probably Facebook is the best place to stay in touch with Vela .... easier to post text / images / comment than Twitter Antony Laiker Vela Technologies plc

Anthony, you mention in the RNS more info out on social media but the @vela_tech last post on twitter was in 2014 and @velatech in 2012? Have I missed a new one and if there is one can we delete the other a/c’s to make it easier for investors to tweet and promote the correct a/c please. DC

I would suggest it has to, Portr is growing very nicely. I think we could see a nice little revival in the New Year hopefully challenging last years gains. DC

Another positive RNS out today at lunchtime. The key question is how much in terms of monetary value does Vela's 3.1% equity stake of Portr Limited actually relate to based on current share price? Is it significant and meaningful? Does it increase Vela's valuation and market cap from where it is now?
