Waste of time debating divis guys 18p from a stock that's in £7,8,9 range is nothing as can drop a lot more than that on a any day on any week. So no big deal

The interim dividend has gone up from $.2 to .24 so 20% growth maybe a little more in sterling terms given the weak domestic currency.

So that’s about 18p or just over 2% on the interim dividend alone.

I would love it if Rio came sniffing around Ved and put in a wee offer of say £15 to start with. I'm doing the rounds looking for some Scottish notes to purchase some more shares here for the long term but hopefully a takeover. Mr argwal might sell up and get more of his beloved hobby of Aal stock hahaha 🤝

Agarwal to Turn Copper Smelter Into a Giant by Doubling Capacity

The company supplies about 30 percent of India’s copper market, and aims to increase that share to 50 percent through the Tuticorin expansion, Chief Executive Officer Kuldip Kaura told reporters on an earnings call.

Strong half-year for Vedanta

Diverse mining and energy group Vedanta Resources (LN:VED) had a positive first half of its 2018 financial year, with higher zinc and aluminium production leading to increased revenues and a higher dividend.

The company made no noticeable changes to full-financial year production guidance.

They think Mr Agarwal will join forces with another big Anglo shareholder, South Africa’s Public Investment Corp, and try to break up the company.

Pretty poor showing here compared to other miners like KAZ, AAL, GLEN, FXPO, all sitting near recent highs whereas this still sitting 30% below its February high. Should be £14 now based on the positive trends of the others and its strong results.
