At 30 June 2017, gross debt and net debt were at $16.8 billion and $9.4 billion, respectively compared to $18.2 billion and $8.5 billion, respectively, as at 31 March 2017. Gross Debt is inclusive of temporary borrowing at Zinc India which amounted to $1.1 billion as at 30 June 2017 ($1.2 billion at 31 March 2017). Increase in Net Debt was on account of dividends paid out from Vedanta Ltd and HZL in Q1 FY2018.

Further, in line with its deleveraging strategy, gross debt was reduced by $385 million post 30 June 2017 taking total gross debt reduction to $1.7 billion till date.

Surely you realised production reports are not the financial results as well.

E.g. Like Ved,KAZ issued their production report on July 27th and their excellent financial results on 17th August. KAZ up over 50p today. Hoping VED results will also help propel their share price.

We'll soon know.

Usually a fall post divi by divi value as a rule of thumb.

I don't think there's a production report tomorrow only a dividend payment due - interesting to see if this rise with all the money that may be reinvested over next few days

No doubt this helps; Antofagasta had a strong first half with revenues up 41.9% at $2,049m, as realised copper prices increased by 25.3% and sales volumes rose by 14.3% and EBITDA increased 87.8% to $1,079.8m.

Seems that way, kaz now gone above. This he struggled to gain 10p. I feel family influences as well as the debt levels maybe holding this back.
