Vedanta raises $1 billion via bond sale to refinance $1.8 billion debt

Vedanta intends to use the proceeds to buy back its outstanding loans of $774.8 million due in 2019, and $900 million due in 2021, and to "repay other indebtedness". It had accepted for purchase $522.5 million of the 2019 bonds, and $229.8 million of the 2021bonds.

There is also the matter of the over 70 Million pounds worth of dividend income payable on the 23 august - if just say 25 percent of that is reinvested in vedanta shares this should provide a tremendous uplift!

temmujin, anyone that invests in loss making microcap AIM stocks like the one you've mentioned above when there's quality billion plus MCAP stocks like VED, KAZ, AAL need their head checking.

I am amazed this share is not much higher seeing that a large proportion of their ebitda comes from zinc and they are close to being the largest zinc miner in the world but that's the nature of shares sometimes- I am also amazed at some of the it's not going up I'm moving it to kaz talk - which in my opinion is over the years the surest way to lose money by chopping and changing - my friends who do this who seem mostly to be of Indian extraction normally cost themselves money by doing this - patience is what's needed and keep helping yourself and reinvesting the 6 percent yield!!

Khaitan & Co acted as the sole Indian legal advisers relating to tender offers to purchase for cash all or part of Vedanta Resources plc’s outstanding $774,772,000 6% bonds due 2019 and $900m 8.25% bonds due 2021 followed by a new fund raising pursuant to the offering of $1,000m 6.125% bonds due 2024. The bond proceeds were used for the tender offer and refinancing. Vedanta Limited, a diversified natural resources company.

Seems the mc of fxpo will be higher than this fairly shortly, markets doubting all the positives from ved.
