16/11/2017 08:38 | Interims coming.....cash is king so watch how the net cash is going. | fhmktg
16/11/2017 08:13 | Don't know but even buying 300000 the price still goes down and down again this morning seems is a good time to short. Did anyone management or advisers think this through? | pooroldboy55
16/11/2017 07:39 | And I do appreciate thet a very small increase in eps is one outcome. | popper joe
16/11/2017 07:38 | So another 300,000 shares bought back yesterday and hardly a flicker on the price. I repeat my question of yesterday: is the aim to buy back as many shares as possible for £16m or push the share price up? | popper joe
15/11/2017 13:54 | Invesco even lol | cap160
15/11/2017 13:52 | Investors increased-positive at least | cap160
15/11/2017 13:18 | I agree with what you say Dunderheed, the only thing of significance expected in the coming year is the dispute resolution with the FDA. I don't think short sellers are having any impact on the SP, I just think there is no reason to buy at the moment. At this price, however, for me there is no reason to sell. | alexchry
15/11/2017 12:43 | Worth a look for a broad overview. hxxps://shorttracker | huffster
15/11/2017 12:42 | Only a fraction over 2%, less than the £15M buyback so presumably an insignificant contributor to the share price fall. There has been no significant good news since SKP was taken over, no fireworks from Flutiform, a major knock back with Advair Generic and nothing else of note expected for quite some time hence no rush to buy even at these low prices. I was contemplating selling when they dropped to around 130p but foolishly hung on. I'll continue to hold and hope they come good just as SKP did many years ago, there were some very dark days holding SKP. | alexchry
15/11/2017 12:12 | Cum - hear what you're saying but what is current shorted shares percentage? | dunderheed
15/11/2017 11:58 | Dunder-this is a game with the shorters as you well know, the fundamentals of the company are sound and solid and value will out in time but shorters play games with PIs in interim. No harm to challenge their own money as many other companies are afraid to. Shorters are primarily afraid of a take out-which could easily happen here -which would wipe most out-but they know PIs lack the firepower and IIs generally dont care. Having a baseline tends to make them think twice. | cumnor
15/11/2017 11:27 | Anytime a R&D company is using 'spare' cash to buy back shares is a very bad time for them? IMHO it is clearly stating the (market) message that they cant think of anything better to spend the cash on?! I will be selling my last few share in this over the next few weeks and these are totally immaterial compared to a lot of shareholders on here. However, for the foreseeable future I personally feel the only upside now, is with further (merger) consolidation? Best of luck all. | dunderheed
15/11/2017 10:18 | a We don't know what the share price would be without the buying. b The EPS is enhanced as interest earned on cash is negligible. Regards steven | stevenlondon3
15/11/2017 10:15 | If anybody knows on what based Numis and Jpmorgan Chase Cazanove target prices for Vectura ???? Please share here it. How are values of all products of Skp and Vectura after none approval of Advair Just evaporated ? Thanks a lot . | a1ord53
15/11/2017 10:11 | So Numis bought 120,000 shares yesterday in 111 tranches. Presumably so they didn't spike the price up and they could buy the maximum number of shares. So what would be regarded as success for this venture? The price remains where it is whilst Numis buy the maximum number of shares that they can get for £16m over the next 6 months? Or take fewer shares out of circulation whilst pushing the price up, only for it to fall back when they stop buying? Anyone care to explain how this is supposed to benefit us share holders. All I can see is that at the end of 6 months each share will represent a slightly bigger percentage of a business that will have £16m less on the bank. | popper joe
15/11/2017 08:32 | Panic move buy backs never do much for share price much better a small dividend, better still some good news. | pooroldboy55
15/11/2017 08:20 | Smart move by the directors. Having bought shares on their own account and still seen the share price fall, they've now decided to use the company's money rather than their own to try to prop up the SP! | alexchry
14/11/2017 16:24 | I certainly hope so! | fhmktg
14/11/2017 14:56 | Shorting a company with £90m in the bank and a healthy cash flow is not a zero risk occupation. Since shorting in this situation is essentially a psycholgical process, the onus is on the company to take the initiative and win the psycho-war. It can be done and the first element of the operation is to assure holders and more particularly potential buyers that the share price will be supported at a sensible level and to place shorters and potential shorters in an effective cul-de-sac, i.e. with a rising share price the only way out. I note the important fact that Numis have been given unfettered authority within the initial guidelines and overal amount to conduct the operation without further reference to the company. The importance of this is that (afaik) the operation can continue generally for up to 6 months without impediment from any intevening close periods during which shorters or other market manipulators might otherwise have free rein to operate. Wishing all good luck to Numis, VEC management and , of course, shareholders! PS: An apparent double bottom possibly provides a good point for management to engage the psycho-war. Could it also indicate expectations of being able to issue some encouraging news in the forseeable future? | boadicea
14/11/2017 08:54 | Does anyone know how many are being shorted? | pooroldboy55
14/11/2017 08:30 | Cont. ...bring them to the market. I just hope they don't spend their money in the USA, it has proved a disappointing country for both VEC and SKP. | alexchry
14/11/2017 08:26 | Diesel, I agree with your sentiment but they have a large pipeline already and I feel sure they must be spending whatever is necessary to brin | alexchry
14/11/2017 08:17 | Well it could upset the shortens, and it should increase market cap, but I would be more impressed with capital being used to develop profitable business, still at least it isn't bad news. | diesel |
