dp1umb-welcome news but expected and much later than was anticipated 18 months ago. We need some unexpected good news such as significant progress with the approval of Advair generic or GSK settling out of court and agreeing to pay royalties. I'm not overly optimistic about either so we may have to wait a few years before, hopefully, new products reach the market.

The two patent in question were granted in November 2012 and May 2013, so they will not have expired in 2016.

I think the grey area is the expiry date of the patents along with the conditions of the contract (I think the patents expired in 2016)

Bye the way my above post was tongue in cheek (BTG have just had a judgment awarded against them 10% drop in share price then a 25% rise)

Anyone interested in the specific details around the patent infringement case that Vectura have brought against GSK might want to read this US court filing that I just came across. Basically, 2 infringed patents used in 3 different drugs, Breo, Anora and Incruse. (The Ellipta products). Vectura asked GSK to pay a licence fee and GSK said no. Obviously it would be interesting to know what GSK's take on this is, but I am puzzled why they have been paying Vectura up to £9m per year in royalties but now suddenly seem to have questioned the validity of the patents.

Well the down trend continues, don't know about the next 79 days but not looking good to think we are not much better than 4 years ago . I can still see it heading into the eighties seems no news is bad news just can't see what's going to stop this fall. Again today some bigish numbers on O trades perhaps a RNS soon ?.
