Big holders keeping faith here. Invesco 10%; L&G 5%; Morgan Stanley, AXA, Aviva all hold 3%. Advair generic news awaited. Take out the exceptionals/balance sheet write offs and the company is making a profit.

I don't normally watch this share on a macro level, but if this had fallen below 100 then that would have been a return to the downtrend, so for now, very tentatively, we could be seeing the first signs of a reversal, very early days....

diesel-I agree, I think the only hope for a significant rise in the short term is good news re the Advair generic otherwise it's a long wait for good news re the development pipeline. In the meantime, I hope that Flutiform sales continue to make progress, it was a little bit worrying that there was an element of de-stocking in the supply chain.

This has been going down for almost two years it will either take a long time to turn around or some substantial news. But I don't believe this will see 80p.

There is plenty of consolidation going on in this sector, so you never know. However as management are still be getting to grips with the Skyepharma merger, I would say they may not welcome an approach just now.

0815Good point.I think the recent headline loss, which included large charges for the write down of the Skyepharma goodwill, has spooked investors. However this write down will continue over the next few years, so be prepared for further losses, which are not cash based.The accountants are being prudent, but if Vectura is bought this goodwill will reemerge into the price/valuation.

But what I do not quite understand is why the market is reacting so drastic.
A lot of people say the Advair generic product is worth not more than 15-20p.

Since the bad news regarding the Advair generic, Hikma's share price has fallen by around 40% and Vec's by over 30%. Judging by the current share price performance, the market is not optimistic about getting FDA approval. The regulatory timetable is due to be announced in the next two to three months so I hope that will be positive.

POB, doesn't look good and if this goes below 100 then we are back on the down trend, but I still believe the drop to 90 was the final capitulation and that the directors have bought on the knowledge that the Advair generic is a when, not if!
