alex2727-thanks for the info on the positive presentation at the AGM. I read the pdf and the only new thing I picked up was that the merger was going to cost £3-5M more than expected. For a year now we have had either bad news or disappointing news so it is not surprising that the share price is so weak. I do hope that they get a good response from the FDA regarding Advair generic as I can't see much else on the horizon to give the share price a boost.

Yes, due for hearing 2018 (August I think the CEO said) but reiterated that they were obviously hoping to settle with GSK who had not, as yet, presented a defence. He reiterated what he had said previously that GSK were trying to run a coach and horses over Vec's IP rights and they had to make a stand.

Alex, thanks for the update. Any mention of the litigation with GSK?

Thanks Alex; room for optimism, but I suspect what major investors are looking for from VEC (and BTG for that matter) is assured cash flow, low debt and the certainty that a dividend flow is in real prospect. That is a view I agree with after years of patient waiting!

Just back from AGM but, in brief, a very positive presentation.

It seems Vec are more 'happy' with their result from the FDA than Mylan, because they have an issue with their device which Vec appears not to have. Vec/Hikma gave their response to the FDA within the requisite 10 days so it's now wait and see.

It was stressed that the current 'disappointing' share price calculates, effectively, to the sum of the parts, and gives no value whatsoever to the pipeline or anything else. The board is very frustrated to say the least.

The company is looking forward to their presentation on June 28th.

I have a large holding in shares and spreads, and came away very comfortable to continue to hold all.

That's it for now; I have a business to run.

Losses racking up seemingly every day but feel share price must be close to bottoming out.
VEC are close to dropping out of FTSE top 350, currently 334. Don't expect any cheer from AGM but boss has to bring good news to the party come June 28th... highly critical to stop the rot and introduce much-needed shareholder value.

Pooroldboy55-similar situation to myself, sold 10000+ at around 148, wish I'd sold a lot more. I agree with Diesel, there has been nothing but bad news since the takeover and there may be more to come if the Advair generic's rejection is terminal. I just hope the AGM is positive.

Boadicea, not sure about that, buying on dips is fine if you sell on peaks but overall the share price has performed badly. Not surprising we are where we are, since joining up with SKP there has been a long list of setbacks.

Hello all. I got in at 123 and hope this turns around quickly. Seems like a well managed company that has been oversold.

davidbennett - The odds would seem to be in your favour. So far, it has always paid to pick VEC up on the dips following a modest setback of which there have been a number over the years. The company has always been very adept at structuring its progress so as not to be pushed into a tight cash corner. The cash cushion has been in the range 60-100 million for many years and has always seen it through to a brighter upland ahead. I do not see that as being any different now.

Well if the shares were hovering around 155p to 160p a few weeks ago and the fundamentals suggest generic advair would have been worth about 15p, then it is only lack of sentiment that is taking this below 140p. As you say, we need some positive messages from the AGM.

a1ord53-125 may prove to have been a good entry point but it's hard to predict just how far the share price has to fall before it bottoms out. Not long until the AGM, I hope we hear some positive noises from that.

More than likely BTG has overshot a bit I would expect a retrace ,on the overhand I think Vectura has dropped to far and represents a buying opportunity.

Thought so A1ord, how things have changed since February! BTG languishing in the low 500s while Vectura was issuing very positive updates , leading to a sharp rise in the share price.
