Interesting that Dame Louise responded to my email within 24 hours but I have not yet received a response from Vec to me email to them ( suggesting the same)-although I did send it to Investor Relations @ Vec.
All very quiet on the CEO front & an appointment should be imminent

Why would anyone be selling 500K at this price?

Well -I had the temerity to email The Dame to congratulate her on her BTG achievements & suggest her most exciting next career move -CEO of Vec with a 2 year plan for a 200p+ exit .She responded very quickly thanks me for my congratulations & strangely completely ignoring my suggestion for her next role .
Read into it what you will -but I suspect semi retirement beckons !!

Good!Report today on increased child asthma due to high temperature conditions shows potential for VR 647.Need to get the phase III partnership in place quickly it's going to be a two- three year programme to launch and other paediatric developments will be coming along. No significant major cash flow on the horizon unless an acquisition is on the cards.Send for the Dame!

Never heard of Woodford having any shares in Vectura.

Burford capital is recovering today after short sellers attack yesterday. Woodford has aprox 14% stake in Burford.
Today Burford considered buy back and share price being recovering .
Why Woodford who has huge stake in Vectura didnt help to do reasonable buy back ( not 15mil £ we did) to support huge share price depreciation of Vectura ?

"Nearly "bought BUR yesterday afternoon!
BTG was a great investment for me as I came into it via Biocompatibles for an effective price under 70p.Over all ,The Dame did well & her appointment here would prove a great tonic for our share price & she has a following ( apart from Woodford). In reality I doubt whether she would relish the challenge of another CEO role - unless she had the potential for a substantial Capital Gain over a relatively short period,ie if her brief is to get our share price to 200p+ & then sell to the highest bidder.
Great news that Exparel continues to grow & pity we no longer receive Royalties although $32mill is not to be sniffed at .

Exparel sales guidance $400 $410 for 2019 last quarter up 22% on 2018 equivalent so will be close in 2020 and guaranteed for 2021 for the $32 million milestone

alord I think all BTG holders got lucky with Zytiga to be honest, but she really messed up with the American company who claimed approximately $60m for breach of contract.

Dp1 , agree she is very arrogant and was ignoring regular shareholders. She lost money buying unsuccessful companies , cause didnt do due diligence and had to write off a lot of businesses. Also Varisolve fail to become blockbuster.....
She was just very fortunate, that one of major shareholder found buyer for BTG.
But obviously she did good acquisitions too .To hold BTG was very painful. It was ups and downs driven buy algo traders and unwise Maikin behavior.
But she would be definitely better imo ceo than current/retired ceo ward liley.

Fhm as you know up until the takeover Louise wasn’t actually flavour of the week with many on the BTG thread calling for her to resign.

She is a mover and shaker and would do a great job for VEC.

Dame Louise is about to become unemployed, once the BTG sale completes by early next month. She is currently a non Exec of "Woodford",which joining Vec as CEO would give her a great excuse to do.Fanciful idea , I know, but were she to be offered sufficient options at an achievable target price she could have a final hurrah & ride off into the Non exec sunset £10mill+ richer-if her brief is-rebuild credibility in Vec,use some of the cash to make some decent acquisitions (creating the view that we are ,again,a growth company)& then sell the company within 2 years for 200p + per share +.
that would put we former SKP approximately back to where we were before we were acquired-but that would be acceptable & gives us a gracious exit .

I've traded out some positions over the course of today as i am a little over-committed here. I'm now back to something i see as manageable while am away on holiday, when i am not likely to be able to react quickly to news. Markets are quite volatile and i want to be well covered with margin. Holding down to around 180K as a result until closer to H1 results when i'll be back on grid.
