@justiceforthemany:
The statement in the press release to does not suggest to me that there will be an approval of the generic Advair by the end of the year.
"....Vectura expects to be able to confirm the regulatory timetable before the end of 2017...."
This means they probably will only know by the end of the year when they will expect an approval (sometimes in 2018?).

A particular concern is the GSK litigation date. I thought that it was December this year but it is now December next year, a long time to have this hanging over the share price.

The words said one thing and the figures said another. The best that can be said is that the business is going in the right direction (possibly).

The wider loss was due to a reduction in intangible assets of £50M. Shareholder equity still around £700M though with net cash stable down by only £2M at £90.5M

From a quick first glance, I don't see anything too bad in these results, at least nothing new which is bad. There's a lot of noise in them given the various one-off factors in each direction, plus the merger impacts plus and change in period end etc all of which combined make it messy to see performance compared to before and then project forwards. However all of that was expected.

Need to do a much more detailed read but its not obvious to me that there's anything in those results which would make someone sell their shares today, which wasn't known yesterday

The real gamechanger is Advair generic though and they seem confident of an FDA approval by the end of this year.

Loss due to write down of intangible assets, being The Skyepharma assets. This is like saying that they overpaid for these assets last year. However the business is creating cash and the sales are on the up.

Look at cash position, pretty static so operating loss is misleading.

Recurring revenues are now getting quite substantial.

That's a humdinger of a loss - didn't these guys get profitable prior to the merger? Thankfully got out last summer and they haven't rewarded anyone holding since

Some progress on the litigation and FDA concerns about the Advair generic would steady the ship.Up early tomorrow!

I am hoping, too.
But more important: Will the share price not fall back again, as it always did in the last months after the announcemnt of only positive financial results, as everbody seems to expect miracles to happen (GSK is going back to the old deal und the FDA approves tomorrow the Hikma product).

I'm expecting a nice rise tomorrow ,on the basis of growing royalties hopefully ahead of consensus.

All most 2 years of steady decline where will it end? Think if no good news on Wednesday will be under a pound seems nothing to stop it.

I think both companies were vulnerable on their own, SKP primarily relying on Fluti, and VEC still waiting for a big cash earner, this does seem a more coherent set up just need to deliver on some of their strategy. Still holding some but thankfully sold a chunk over a year ago....

5845, Didn't skp 'mgt' (ahem) recommend this merger!!(FFS - the most obvious point). Every major strategic decision they have ever made never appeared to highlight to investors the true 'risks' involved which either means the PR is flawed or they weren't as aware as they should have been!
However based upon director sales after merger I'd think 'different'.
Mediocre at best! All imho.

I am not sure if only VEC is to blame here, they were also doing pretty good pre meger. SKP had also bad news post meger and it was the SKP finance chef who sold all his shares, something which was not very trust building. However the actual share price is still somewhat of a mystery to me.
