Hikma down at the moment so I'd agree there's a little speculation on a good result for VEC tomorrow, Hikma a little too pricey to attract same action.

boadicea-hopeful anticipation is my guess. Before the Mylan result the share price was over 160 on the hope of good news. Given that there will be a delay to Mylan's generic, any good news for Hikma/Vec should see the share price over 170 so perhaps there is no leak just some investors having a punt.

Yes, the GDUFA is Wednesday, 10th, so expect the result will be known later that day. However, as with Mylan, if the answer is 'no' we may not find out then what further hoops Hikma and Vec have to jump through to get approval.

Alex, your never right in this game, you'll either wish you had bought more or sold some of your existing holding. I'm of the belief that in three months time we will be higher than we are now, whether there is a big fall between times all depends on next week, but there is a pipeline here and most of their revenues are from recently launched products so downside is limited.

pob-not surprising that it's quiet, next Wednesday's news may be the most significant news since the merger was announced. There don't seem to be any clues as to how good or bad the news is likely to be other than Mylan's rejection and they are saying nothing so far as to why their application was rejected and what they now have to do. VEC's share price was over 160 when Mylan got the news so it seems like the market is pricing in a bit of bad news next week although if there is a major problem or delay then I think the share price will have further to fall. I'm sitting tight and hoping for the best.

Notice Hikma biggest FTSE100 gainer yesterday, on no news.

No broker concerns there then re Advair failing.

So Numis reiterates 225p with the other joint house broker J P Morgan (240p) last month yet to update. The same day we get RBC downgrading to 133p.

Hardly surprising brokers with their self-serving tactics come across as a load of bloody nonsense, as near crooked as you can legally get.
