What concerns me as a holder is productivity, VAST is supposed to have a runnibg mine but now want o replace trucks etc. Is this a prelude to not very good set of results in the next reporting, imo. Hope not as that will be most disappointing as a lth.As placing go of course most companies utilise them even if not immediately but its the reason that matters most.GA Sam

The question here is how many times will PIs and their stop losses fall for the MMs tricks.

Every company can say we wont be placing unless absolutely necessary, it means nothing.

All those selling now clearly haven't watched this:

"We were hoping to do this off the back of good news. We're anticipating good news in respect of Baita, we won't be placing unless A)absolutely necessary and b) not at this price today"

What do you do when all eyes are on a stock that everyone wants, it looks like a dead cert. with news queuing up, a huge deal already in the bag and one of the biggest mines of its kind in Europe just awaiting a licence, and you need to get cheap shares? You carry out one of the biggest, longest, most tedious tree shakes ever seen in order to shake off every possible weak share holder that you can, and you just keep shakin and shakin. You bore everyone to death, even the long term mature holders. Just when they think it's done you do it some more and then some more. After all that, after you have stocked up all your cheap shares, only then do you raise the price.

All PI's please note we will stay in the range until longer term buyers can no longer pick up cheap shares from impatient smaller investors who cannot wait the course... this is happening on a lot of quality shares. Holding is the best course :)

Explanation 12% drop yesterday. Today's article ask to issue 7+% more shares

If offered to shareholders expect many would donate their capital.

I think too many fingers in the pie and what are you going to secure funding against? As second trance will be against Romanian asset and I don't particularly like SSGI seem to take a piece every time they fund. So I would prefer the company concentrates on doing the job of producing copper etc. Ap seemed to have said 50kg gold being produced why mention a number unless it is just a throw away remark cause according to last quarterly it should e nearer 60? At 45 don't think anyone can lose with patience. Could be the offer of the year. Fears, as above too many pies and dilution/funding as Vast ambitiously overstretches.

Just listened to a few podcasts yesterday and I never thought I would buy back in here but now that Roy Pitchford has gone with his awful death spiral funding deals and Andrew Prelea has stepped up, I'm now back in on that drop yesterday.
I met both Andrew and Roy a couple of years ago. Spent a good 20 minutes just talking to Andrew. Roy in hindsight was full of bull.I was impressed with AP. He had multiple business interests in Romania, mainly real estate, and at the time said that he is focusing all his time with Vast simply because of the huge potential it holds in Romania.
It did seem like the BP licence would never be granted but after listening to the podcasts, it now seems to be very close. The income from that mine alone will completely rerate Vast. It has huge reserves and low extraction costs. If then Andrew can pick up distressed assets in Zim and focus on the handful of mines owned by the state in Romania to gradually get them into production, income streams could be huge. There is a huge unemployed workforce in Romania that used to work in the mines and it will be a huge win for Romania to get these mines up and running again. AP seems to have the relationships needed in Romania to make this happen.
There will need to be some decent working capital facilities along the way but I would have thought these should be easier to secure once Vast can demonstrate themselves as efficient operators. I'm not hugely in here like I once was where I watched good profits descend into losses and managed to claw my way out at break even but I will add as the story unfolds as AP could get this to a mid tier miner in the next few years, maybe sooner.

Cheers Edgie, more mines being hinted at, can't VAST just walk first then run?
