08/2/2010 12:40 | CEO bought one lot @55p last NOV, another lot@21.75p last week | xb2
08/2/2010 12:36 | That little 100k buy has helped . | battlebus
08/2/2010 12:34 | It still looks oversold to me | xb2
08/2/2010 12:33 | Nothing for sale under 22p at the mo. | battlebus
08/2/2010 12:12 | A slight littel bit of positive news re Stanford will send share price to 30p range pretty quickly! DYOR | xb2
08/2/2010 12:06 | This share is getting interesting now, nearly touching all year low.An excellent recovery play me thinks... Vantis spokesman on Stanford International liquidation."We have the capability, expertise and capacity to do this," "It's a project that's worthwhile doing." "The firm's reputation had been enhanced by the Stanford appointment, with its business recovery division increasing turnover for the period by 43% to £17.4m." | xb2
08/2/2010 11:48 | My concern is this seems to be all about Stanford and whether the company will ever get paid for the work. So....where would the company be without the Stanford contract? The company employ 1000 people. What are the other 975 working on? | lapiteau
07/2/2010 20:11 | Can't see why the worry here as this is a five year investment that will reward those with patience. I have recently added three times to my holding with an average now in the late twenties. Very happy to see this company begin recovery and can see no possibility off them going bust. Some of the talk on this board is maybe wishful thinking on anothers behalf. Lets just see how the debt will be tackled. | battlebus
07/2/2010 15:16 | the balance sheet certainly is in pretty poor condition and this share price really needs to be around the 10p mark before any interest should be taken up. worth keeping on the radar for that relief rally imo | empirestate
04/2/2010 14:43 | greed was the killer here. | still waiting
04/2/2010 14:37 | Good post Arfi, yes it's important that they get the bankers onside after the imho unexpected difficulties, but with them I'm sure they can chisel out a much brighter future. poor old agreeable has been talking about them going bust imminently for donkeys years on here - still wrong imho, but he keeps trying - Bless! -:)) | egoi
04/2/2010 10:11 | The one gactor that should not be overlooked is that Bob Morton Chairman of TNO is an ex partner of the two biggest revenue generators in VTS, so an escape tunnel is easy to dig! Also I am told that 'we are going bust' is being openly discussed by senior employees of VTS | agreeable
04/2/2010 10:04 | US and Swiss govts have frozen the assets of Stanford - administrators are paid out of the assets of the company in liquidation. Yes it's a major problem in terms of liquidity for the firm at the moment, but the new board has taken a strong hold of the reins and the firm has a good relationship with its bankers. The big hitters in terms of fee generation are likely to be tied in with shares and disinclined to simply cut their losses and walk away. As for Tenon, they were never seriously in a position to acquire Vantis and in fact if you look at the board for RSM Tenon, it looks more like a reverse takeover of them by Bentley Jennison to me. I'm not currently a holder, but I am watching closely. | arfi
02/2/2010 11:55 | Refinacing - unlikly why buy debt ? Ditto for take-over when clients can be cherry picked. IF and a very big IF they get paid by for their work on Stanford then could well pull through - Seems very unprofessional not to get thier hands on cash to pay their fees first thing when they took on the work. anyone who ahs work experience in this area able to comment? | pugugly
01/2/2010 11:34 | not sure where to from here with todays interims, I thought TNO might come in for them but seems unlikely given this much debt, at some stage there is bound to be a big debt equity swap at a hugely dilutive price. Debtors now stand at over 6 months Turnover, this is not sustainable as I have been saying for over 2 years | agreeable
05/1/2010 12:13 | Watch out for a share placing at rock bottom price, this company has to de-gear quickly. not surprised to see a £10-15m share placing at sub 20p. Need for new management and reform from the old ways. The big revenue earners will soon jump ship if nothing happens quickly | agreeable
22/12/2009 20:15 | A distressed seller or someone who knows something? See if there is an RNS tomorrow. Pleased I no longer hold but they could stage a strong recovery at some time so worth keeping an eye on. Dibbs | dibbs
22/12/2009 16:03 | jumping ship... | targatarga
09/12/2009 12:18 | Interesting announcement today by Tenon, makes any deal for VTS very unlikely IMHO, | agreeable
09/12/2009 08:50 | egoi - would that be 35p. Sorry couldn't help myself.... | targatarga
20/11/2009 13:49 | Positive looking changes. Should take the company to the next level imho. | egoi
20/11/2009 11:20 | Todays announcement makes it clear that the 'deckchairs on the Titanic' are being well and truly shuffled. Difficult to know how corporate governance is being tightened when Dulieu and Jackson are joined at the hip through their other business ventures Interesting for such a healthy company (egoi) to resort to a turnround specialist as finance director. Looking at company's website (Investor Relations) the results announcement is heralded as a success (subject to all kinds odd sub-notes which tell the truth in very small print). If this is an example of the disclosure requirements they impose on their audit clients I only have one piece of advice 'creditors and investors beware' | agreeable
06/11/2009 12:06 | looking at Annual Report I am surprised (or perhaps I am not) that Directors continued to take bonuses despite the poor performance. Also note they record disposal of Sports Business even though the people running it still appear on their website and I note a new company Vantis Sports has been established 50% owned by company and by management. This seems odd! The way in which the company seeks to take no blame and responsibility for the 'questionable' tax schemes (as though the 4 employees thought of this themselves!) while at the same time writing back over £6m of accrued fees on this scheme is laughable. I have also had problems getting hold on Notice of AGM which is not within the Annual Report on the website, I wonder if there are any odd things here? | agreeable |
