just embrace the new opportunity, they still have a good income from gold and now more prospects. Also, they have the claim for the uranium assets ($123m) and they have the potential sale of those too.

News on the mining of the uranium at the mine which does not come under the ban would be useful though.

Also news on the new processing plant for the gold mining should come soon. It was being built this year.

Rubbing my eyes in disbelief!

Let' see, the two best qualities of this company: 1) self-funded exploration -- never delivered consistently, and 2) geologists previous success at Freeport McMoran and the database they brought with them -- again they didn't deliver.

There is no obvious continuity between Vane and this new company. A new team with petroleum exploration expertise, new offices, new management, new company name, a huge number of new shares, and a new sub-penny share price.

Last time I checked petroleum exploration is more expensive than mineral exploration. Difficult to believe that after 10 years of mineral exploration with such a highly qualified team, they will only now find success by switching to petroleum exploration.

Perhaps this is now more about Matt's personal quest to recoup his significant investment in the company?

It could be a great opportunity for vane as they already operate in mexico.

i would be highly surprised if this shale gas strategy is not in mexico.

well, we will all see the result if and when the proposals are voted through on the 15th.

Only then will we get to know the real thinking behind this. There are 2 main investors coming in, they have put in a lot of money. They must have a plan to make a profit.

As far as I know they are still mining gold?

some people just want them to carry on as before, they do not appreciate that the directors have realised a change in direction is required.

The company have lost the ability to mine their uranium prospects due to the US govt. So quite clearly had to do something else. They go ahead and raise £1.4m and people are moaning.

WTF did you expect. Personally I am delighted with the pro active action taken.

Instead of constantly moaning tell us what they should have done ?

Knowing - making money - I don't think so looking at their bank balance. i hate being negative about a company I have shares in but it's what they deserve at present. i would love them to prove me wrong.

We need to see some buying activity to stimulate this. Presently it is not going anywhere but I do agree price is tempting especially when you consider that they are making money unlike many exploration companies out there.

Time to buy is now at the prices the investors are getting. imo

One thing for sure any possible good news will be sat on until this goes through. So a sale of any assets will not be announced until after the RTO.

Fascinating.

There is consensus that Shale Oil investor frenzy will hit the UK at some
point.

Even that wily Fox- Algy Cluff is looking at forms of UK Gas


Of course also Gold will soar at some point in the next 6 months, so what will
happen with that ?

I will be watching this for further details, if someone posts the contents of
the proposals,

They have not just dreamed up shale gas , you really think this guy has put all this cash in and does not know yet what they are going to do !

He will know exactly what the plan is. And he has bought at .4p and will not screw himself !

good move - new investor - new business effectively.
wouldn't buy the shares though - consolidation will probably happen, and that will really screw your holding.

Well for what it's worth - My first impression on reading this is with Martin - WFT. Oil and gas!!!! Shale especially. Where are they going to find that? My garden!!!!

However reading your posts I can understand rmart views as well. I suppose all we can do is hope they know what they are doing, however on past history I don't have much hope.

And the mining income from Mexico ? At the placing price this is a bargain. I understand if you are in at 5p and are annoyed and I do feel for those in this position, but for new investors this is a great opportunity IMO.

Over 160m shares being taken by them, and he is joining the board, you should be excited , they must have something up their sleeve.
