Prospectus out today for re-listing Monday apparently. The company name will change from Vallares to Genel Energy. Is the ticker staying the same?

Thought there might be a bit more action on here considering a few have been locked in due to suspension for several weeks.

quite honestly I I sold albeit at a small loss as anyone's guess what an oil company might open at when it rep-lists . Good luck to those still holding .

I spoke last week to the PR people. They indicated that publication of the prospectus was likely to be about 2 weeks later than the end Oct date originally mentioned in their press release. They were coy about the reasons for the delay but said things were progressing. Once the deal completes and the prospectus is published things should be clearer as full info will be in the public domain and realistic attempts can be made to value the shares. Re-listing should follow shortly thereafter.

Won't be like an Inv Trust. VLRS will cease to exist. Our shares will convert into Genel shares and we'll have a cheap entry into the Co from there. VLRS was just a shell.

am I way off the mark in thinking this company is or will be like an investment trust with just a stake in one company ( hence more risky) and should trade at a discount to NAV of, say , 15%??

Yes I guess its fairly complicated it may take a while to dot and cross everything and restore the listing.

The deal should guarantee an entry strait into the FT100 no problems. I have some but will be trying to pick more up below £11 if lucky as and when.

Apologies, I read too much into this comment - "Our aim is to achieve a premium listing early in 2012."

However, I would expect this to be susended for 2/3 months - so you never know!

Just look what happened after VAA's (now BUMI) suspension was listed after the reverse takeover (using exactly the model replicated again here) - rose from less than cash at bank (sub £10) to £14 at it's peak. (though it has been less than perky of late...)

Expect this to rerate quickly when the suspension is lifted in 2012...

got out a while ago but may regret it now ! No reason why it should rocket after suspension but will be trading over £10 I guess .
