Cash in the bank is 33p - P2 reserves are $88million...we don't know why Equinor left but the price will bounce. They are in a very strong financial situation and still have the deep assets.

We will find out. It is Equinor that have pulled out so they have broken their contract. I think we may get everything back plus the deep wells plus cash for contract breach.I've asked the company to do some PR videos to explain the situation. See what happens. I think the cash at 32p draws a line and we can now move on. Market hates uncertainty and it now has clarity.

This is literally like someone giving you $100million to check out your deep gas and then letting you keep all the gas and the wells! That's one hell of a silver lining here. Those three deeps can all now become producers and help vlu fund the future deep drilling. A great springboard for the company and loads of cash in the bank to boot.

Will we get some PR today? I would expect they want to give the full story now or will they wait for the final outcome of talks?

They just got $100 million of free carry and are now independent to make future decisions on the project. Interesting times.

I agree there's value and today may be the day to buy despite the chart in unknown territory from a support point of view

I can wait. I made £6k trading it last month so no issues. However, they are already trading at cash and I would imagine they get to keep production from those three deeps? NAV around £1 a share so let's see what the forward plan is. They are financially secure and thats the main thing for me.

Bad timing mate I cannot understand why you did not wait and not just because of today's RNS I have been waiting patiently for an entry point there was no catalyst to buy yesterday

Fluck, can't see it going down too far the cash should be a good buffer but disappointing nonetheless Calgary, February 4, 2020: Valeura Energy Inc. (TSX:VLE, LSE:VLU) ("Valeura" or the "Company"), the upstream natural gas producer focused on the Thrace Basin of Turkey, provides an update on partner participation in its deep gas appraisal programme. The Company has received notification from its joint venture partner Equinor indicating that it intends to discontinue participation in the deep gas appraisal programme. Valeura and Equinor have begun discussions on the commercial mechanism by which Equinor will exit the play and the Company will provide more detail in due course. Valeura is in robust financial shape and has both a producing shallow gas business which generates cash flow, and a strong working capital position of approximately US$37 million at December 31, 2019. The Company intends to deploy capital in a judicious manner in 2020, and expects to continue its deep gas appraisal programme aimed at demonstrating the potential for commercial development, and to enhance its shallow gas play through ongoing investment into existing fields. Valeura will communicate its 2020 work programme in more detail later in Q1. Sean Guest, President and CEO commented: "We are sorry to see Equinor discontinue their participation in the deep play, but we are pleased with how efficient the joint investment has been for Valeura up to this point. Through our partnership, we have gathered a significant volume of new data and key learnings about the attributes of the large gas resource base in the Thrace Basin, with much of the investment funded by Equinor's carry under its agreements with Valeura. We will leverage these data in the next phase of appraisal and we remain encouraged about the long-term potential for the play."

Looks like VLU heading for 27p on Monday. Closed at 0.48c on TSX. Not sure why the Canadian market is trying to drag it down so much but it is what it is!

Probably see a better reaction in Canada than AIM though How wrong was I, thought it a decent well written RNS with little negative but with Canada slightly down, lots didn't see it the same way, back to red tomorrow I guess
