amen. I define 'misfortune' as being something unpredictable and beyond the company's control. In the case of UTW, surely the problems arise from poor direction and implementation? Like you, I keep an eye on this one but maybe it needs changes at Board level.

I don't own but watch due to a friend having a fair holding and keeping trying to convince me to buy some. My take is that it's just simply far too much of a punt until the accounts are clarified. Shame, they do seem to be dogged by continuous misfortune.

I know - but the 12th Oct statement said they were still reviewing energy contracts hence the delay to FY accts. In other words they don't know yet (or not enough to put out a statement) but my reading is that it is more likely to be negative than positive hence a further PW. (delayed accts due to audit never comes out well in my experience)
Just my view and as you say we'll see

If that were to be the case then they would have needed to announce a change to what they said in August:
"The board said it expected to report group revenue for the year 3% higher than the prior year, and adjusted profit before tax 40% lower than last year.
and
"Looking at the books, the board said it expected to report net debt as at 31 July of. £19.0m, compared to £5.5m a year earlier."
We'll see.

How can this company consider themselves credible when they leave it until a few days before scheduled results to change the date by so much. It doesn't give you confidence to invest. I had to sell this afternoon at a loss after anticipating the price would rise into the results. Not best pleased !!!!!!

Trading update is over a month ago.

A lot of volume today both in no of trades and no of shares.

That's a large fall today after the price has been drifting down over the last week. Very strange considering the very recent trading update and the fact we pretty much know what to expect in the upcoming results.
