It was a guess based on the co's own new profit booking restrictions. Hard to imagine they wont have passed them along. There is a website (glassdoor or smth) which gives some employee intel you cld try.

Luckymouse,Have you any confirmation that's the case (regards the slashing of bonuses) or is just a hypothesis to explain the exodus?

A recent post by UTW said that they were advertising for 200 new sales positions.
Make of it what you will.

Not sure you read my post - if they slashed the bonuses to bring it in line cld be a whole new sales team for this new phase.

We know that's the case from the attrition rates of the last 2 years (39% in 2015 and 25% in 2016) looks like the problems of 2017 haven't made it an easier place to work especially since the over estimating energy usage to improve commission scam has been curtailed by the suppliers.

Doesn't read well.

Perhaps BF is getting rid of the dead wood, or perhaps people don't like working there.

Either way, its not a great state of affairs.

LuckyMouse,

From our conversation regarding whether jobs were new or replacements.

I note that the number of sales consultants has dropped from 661 at the time of the Interims to 550 at the last trading update. Pretty 'emphatic' reduction in approx 6 months, even more stark if they were recruiting in parallel.

I note the second comment from the Chrinicle article has now been removed .

I'm not surprised.

The first of those two comments on the chronicle article provides a plausible possibility.

The second poster is more than likely going to find himself in a whole heap of trouble.

The Chronicle story above has been updated to reflect the new press release. It also now carries a couple of comments from readers (local to UTW in Newcastle).

I have to say , I am getting confused.

Statement from UTW today

www.utilitywise.com/2017/08/25/utilitywise-response-to-media-coverage/?utm_campaign=PR&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social

If my memory serves me corre4ctly, a previous update stated that UTW was pushing to recruit extra sales people and a recent tweet was advertising 200 extra sales jobs.

Something doesn't add up !

Looks pretty good to me too, but really had to laugh at this bit:

"Brendan Flattery, CEO of Utilitywise, commented:
"Although the Company endured some headwinds in the period which impacted our financial performance in the short term...."

Endured some headwinds!!
