Good news IMHO.

Utilico Emerging Mkt Utilico to raise up to 100 mln stg via issue of C shares at 100p/shr

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Utilico Emerging Markets Ltd said it plans to
raise up to 100 mln stg via a further issue of its C shares at 100 pence each to
broaden its shareholder base and help it fund "more influential" shareholding
positions in the emerging market infrastructure and utility sectors.
The closed-end investment company, said the shares will be listed on the
Channel Islands Stock Exchange (CISX) which will result in the existing ordinary
shares qualifying for PEPs and ISAs.
The issue will increase its size and further enhance the company's ability
to acquire strategic investments, the company said.
The Bermuda-based company said the placing of C shares is being made after
existing shareholder and new investor demand, particularly from private client
fund managers who have expressed interest in investing in the company through
PEPs and ISAs.
It intends to account for the net proceeds as a separate pool of assets
until conversion of the C shares into ordinary shares, Utilico said.

3i are raising a £1.5bn infrastructure fund! So all that cash is going to be looking for cash generating assets with monopolistic features. So I would buy all the utilities and infrastructure trusts (ECWC,UIL,UEM) you can before they do IMHO.

I see the recovery is gathering pace, now that all the "C" class shares etc have been dealt with. Hopefully soon back to the 125p level.

Might take it a while to 'recover' given present emerging market sentiment.
